The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1421

Harold Chapman raised his hand, pulling a gun from his backpack, and fired blindly behind him to force the pursuing officers back. Seizing the moment, he picked up his pace and sprinted toward the border marker.

Just as his fingers were about to brush the stone, an officer lunged forward, tackling his legs in a vice-like grip.

A flash of murderous intent crossed Harold's eyes. He aimed his gun, ready to fire, but another officer swung a baton, striking his wrist. The handgun clattered to the ground.

Swallowing the searing pain in his wrist, he viciously kicked the officer clinging to his legs. Stumbling forward, he tumbled past the border marker and collapsed onto the dirt on the other side.

A group of men in black immediately rushed out from the jungle beyond the borderline, brandishing firearms and opening fire on the pursuing police.

Fearing an international incident, the officers didn't dare cross. They stayed on their side of the marker, returning fire, but couldn't land a hit on him.

Supported by his men, Harold stood up and looked back at the officers on the other side.

He gave them a mocking wave, then turned and disappeared into the dense jungle with his entourage.

The officers watched him vanish, their faces twisted in frustration. Reluctantly, they holstered their weapons and pulled out their phones to report to the Captain.

In the Ashford Police Department's homicide division, the lights stayed on all night.

The Captain sat at his desk. The monitor in front of him displayed surveillance feeds from various border checkpoints. The ashtray beside his keyboard was overflowing with cigarette butts.
