Alexander's eyes narrowed imperceptibly. Harold stood by, saying nothing, a flicker of understanding in his gaze. He had long known Mr. Gaylord was not clean, but he hadn't expected him to make a move so quickly, or to cause such a massive disturbance at the engagement party. It seemed the people behind Mr. Gaylord were even more impatient than he'd thought. Or perhaps… Harold's gaze shifted to Alexander, his eyes deepening. This engagement had been a setup from the start.
Kirsten, standing to the side, felt a wave of residual fear wash over her as she took in the scene. If Alexander hadn't pulled her away in time, she could have been crushed by the chandelier. She watched his busy figure, a complex mix of emotions stirring within her. This was the man who had hurt Danielle, yet he had just saved her without a moment's hesitation.
The chaos continued as police arrived, cordoning off the area, questioning witnesses, and collecting security footage. Alexander assisted the police with their statements while Mr. Gaylord took Lorie to a quiet room. Jake was off to the side, constantly on his phone, trying to manage the fallout. Harold stood in a corner with Raffy, his expression unreadable as he watched the pandemonium unfold.
Alexander handled the crisis with an unnerving calm, systematically addressing everything, apologizing to the guests, and arranging for them to be escorted out one by one.
Jake's face was dark with fury. Bianca had been watching her son the entire time, her heart aching for him. He worked tirelessly for the Davidson family, even agreeing to this marriage for their sake, but the people he was dealing with were nothing but trouble. Now, this disaster would only add to his burdens. Life had been so much better when he was with Danielle. If only she had been a bit more clear-headed back then, how wonderful it would have been. But there were no do-overs in this world.
Bianca walked over and took Alexander's hand, her eyes filled with a deep sorrow. Alexander looked at his mother and patted her hand. "I'll have Nash Langley take you home."
Bianca's eyes welled with tears, the corners turning red. "Alex, I'm so sorry…"
"Mom," Alexander interrupted gently. "You're tired. Get some rest."
He had Nash escort Bianca out. Her early life had been so difficult that once she gained power, she clung to it fiercely, demanding perfection in everything and losing sight of what truly mattered.

I hope daniele will have no end game with alexander since whatever the reason is, he only give her too much grievencess. I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele. Hated that in the name of love or protection alexander can treat another woman better, not just once, but with this new lorie girl... Oh my blood pressure getting higher cause by the new plot :(...

This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
