"I just knew you loved me the most, baby."
Natalie couldn't help but roll her eyes. She decided she'd ask him to drop them off as soon as they reached a main road where she could get a cab.
But the woman couldn't even wait that long, pressing her body against Marico's arm, her hand wandering to a certain area.
Marico got excited and lost his grip on the steering wheel, causing the car to swerve violently.
Kristin let out a small yelp of fear. Natalie immediately pulled her close, covering her eyes and ears.
"Mr. Stapleton, if you're trying to get yourself killed, fine, but we'd like to live! Could you please pay attention to the road?"
As if to challenge her, right after she spoke, Marico pulled the woman onto his lap. The car lurched several times with the movement.
"Exciting, isn't it, Ms. Taylor?" he asked with a wicked laugh.
Natalie gritted her teeth. She deeply regretted getting into his car, but the road was dark and winding, seemingly through the mountains. Logic told her it was better not to get out rashly, so she forced herself to endure it.
But the two of them became more and more outrageous, especially the woman, who started moaning loudly.
Just as Natalie was about to lose her temper, Marico suddenly shoved the woman off him.
"You’re saying you’ve never been in a relationship? Are you sure about that?"
The woman, who had been in a state of bliss, was stunned. "I... of course I am."
"You're radiating so much slutty energy, are you sure?"
"I am! If you don't believe me, we can go to a hotel and you can check for yourself."
"How old did you say you were?"
"I'm twenty."
"Bullshit, you've got wrinkles on your neck! You're twenty? Show me your ID!"
"Mr. Stapleton, you..."
"Show me!"
The woman stalled for a while before finally giving in. "I mean, I'm in my twenties. Twenty-eight. That still counts as twenty."
"I said show me your ID!"
"Okay, thirty!"
"You want to be thrown out too?" Marico snapped.
"I'm not wrong."
"I'm a scumbag, I know that. I just don't need anyone else to say it!"
"Oh, so you're self-aware."
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me?"
"Please stop the car. We'll get out here!"
No sooner had the words left her mouth than the car screeched to a halt.
"You can get lost too!"
Natalie didn't hesitate, leading her daughter out of the car. But as soon as they were out, she realized they were in the middle of a cemetery...
"Mommy, I'm scared!" Kristin's voice trembled.
Natalie gritted her teeth. That bastard Marico had definitely stopped here on purpose.
