"Hubert!"
The two hugged each other excitedly, like a long-lost reunion. Even though they had seen each other at school just yesterday and played together, it had still been over ten hours. The thing was, they had grown up together, eating and living side by side, never separated for more than half a day at most.
Hubert pulled Kristin away to play. Marico looked for a place to sit and spotted Theodore Stapleton soaking up the sun not far away. He rubbed his nose, a little hesitant to go near him.
But he had always been rebellious, even competing against himself. The more his heart told him not to go over, the more his feet insisted on walking in that direction. His mind taunted him: "Marico, is this all the courage you have? What's so scary about Theodore? Don't forget, you're the one in power in the Stapleton family now. If he dares to hit you, take a couple of punches, then ship him overseas and lock him up!"
With that thought, Marico immediately puffed out his chest, full of confidence.
When he reached Theodore, he let out a derisive snort before sitting down on the bench next to him.
"Dear little brother, regret fighting me now, don't you? Know how powerful your big brother is now, don't you?"
Theodore remained lazily reclined on the bench, wearing large sunglasses, enjoying the autumn sunshine. It was warm and pleasant, putting him in a good mood.
"Regret? Not really," he said.
Marico snorted. "You're reduced to babysitting, and you're still being stubborn. But you are my little brother after all, and I can't be too heartless. How about this—apologize to me, and I'll let you come back to the company. Only… you'll have to be my assistant."
"I've already found a job. Don't worry about me, big brother."
"You found a job?" Marico narrowed his eyes. What company would dare hire him? Weren't they afraid he'd eventually take over?
"I'm a nanny."
Marico almost choked on his own spit. "You? The former president of the Zenith Group? A nanny?"
