Their Punching Bag Became The Storm novel Chapter 11

Chapter 11 Teach Whitney a Lesson

Emily had planned to use this opportunity to improve her image and maybe even create some couple buzz with Ryan.

As long as her name appeared alongside Ryan’s, that was all she needed.

No matter how much trouble Whitney tried to stir up, Emily’s popularity would only skyrocket.

All the negative public opinion Whitney had steered toward her would be reversed in

no time.

As for getting hated on by Ryan’s fans? Emily couldn’t care less. Her brothers would handle all the PR for her anyway.

She just wanted to soak up all the attention and glory that came from being with Ryan. That was more than enough for her.

Seriously, how can Ryan be so dense about relationships?Emily thought. He can help Whitney, but he can’t spare a moment for someone fragile like me? What makes Whitney better than me anyway?

[I’m totally convinced now. When Ryan said Emily tried to fake an encounter with him at that party, he definitely wasn’t joking.]

[Look at Emily, so shameless, still trying to throw herself at Ryan.]

[She dares to pull these tricks right in front of the cameras. I bet she’s even wilder off camera.]

[No wonder Ryan can’t stand Emily.]

Chase and Emily ended up in a tangled heap on the ground, looking totally awkward. Viewers grabbed screenshots from every possible angle and posted them all over the

internet.

Darian, the show’s director, was grinning from ear to ear as he watched the site traffic explode, nearly bringing the servers to their knees.

He’d only agreed to let Whitney, a total nobody, join the show as a favor to Chase, the Anderson family’s heir.

Of course, another reason was that Whitney had a naturally gorgeous face that could put every actress in the business to shame.

Now, he was beyond grateful he’d made that decision.

Chapter 11 Teach Whitney a Lessun

Meanwhile, Whitney stood with her arms crossed, lounging against the shelter. Her eyes were nonchalant as she glanced at Chase and Emily, who were tangled awkwardly on the ground.

She didn’t bother to help them. Her gaze was cold.

Chase’s heart tightened unexpectedly, leaving him with an uncomfortable pang.

Back when he first came home to the Andersons, even the tiniest scrape would have Whitney hovering around him, fussing and worrying nonstop.

But now she acted like he was beneath her notice, especially the way Whitney stood there, arms crossed like a queen towering above, looking down at him with that icy, superior gaze.

It was as if, in her eyes, he was nothing more than a bug, totally beneath her notice. It was suffocating. He couldn’t find a way to let out his frustration.

And just then, Whitney spoke up, her voice cool and lazy. Honestly, just hearing you two is such a downer. Why don’t you write an apology? Doesn’t have to be super long, just a thousand words will do.

Emily, half sprawled in Chase’s arms on the ground, glared at Whitney, her eyes wide and teary with anger. Whitney, you’re really being way too much.

Oh, right, you love apologizing for other people, don’t you? So you can write it instead. I’m totally fine with that,Whitney said.

Her lips slowly curled into a cold, mocking smile, pure mockery written all over her

face.

Then she tilted her head with a teasing look in her eyes. And when you’re done, remember to post it on a public platform so everyone can judge if you’re really sincere.

She smiled, her gaze playful. I’m sure you two are totally sincere about this, aren’t you?

Γ

Emily thought, Sincere, my ass! What the hell is wrong with this bitch? Why is she acting like a totally different person all of a sudden? She’s not showing Chase any respect now.

But whatever. This is a live broadcast. Everything Whitney does is going to be seen by the Andersons. They’re going to end up hating Whitney more.

In the Anderson residence, the spacious and luxurious living room had the live broadcast of Real Survival playing on the TV.

Edgar Anderson and Paula Anderson, Chase’s parents, sat there, faces grim as they watched Whitney on screen, looking all smug and full of herself. Edgar was so pissed he threw his cup down.

Chapter 11 Teach Whitney a Lesson

She really is an ungrateful little traitor. If it weren’t for Emily, does she seriously think She’d ever get a shot at this show?Edgar snapped.

We only let her join so she’d take care of Emily. Just look at the way she’s doing it,Paula added.

She grabbed Edgar’s arm, her face twisted with rage.

Whitney is nothing but a headache, Paula thought. We gave her food and shelter, took her in from some small town, let that wild kid move into the Anderson residence, gave her everything, but she doesn’t have a shred of gratitude.

If I’d known she’d be such a piece of work, I should’ve just left her where she was!Seeing the bandage wrapped around Emily’s foot on TV, Paula’s heart ached for her. Her resentment toward Whitney only grew stronger.

Edgar’s face was just as gloomy as he turned to his eldest son, Brandon Anderson. Brandon, make sure you give the production team a call when you get a chance.

Brandon nodded. Yes, Dad. I’ll make sure Whitney gets put in her place.”

He thought, Whitney has only been out for two days, and she already can’t wait to show who she really is. From the start, she was plotting to steal everything that shouldve belonged to Emily.

But too bad for her, those schemes are never gonna work. This family will always be Emily’s.

The incident with Whitney, Chase, and Emily cast a heavy mood over the filming on the island.

Even before Emily started pretending and trying to sway public opinion, the other participants had already made their way over to the shelter.

But when the drama unfolded, no one wanted to get on the Andersonsbad side, so everyone just stayed quiet.

They waited until the scene had finally played out.

Only then did they dare to approach, greeting Ryan one after another.

But Ryan’s attitude was unmistakably aloof. He barely acknowledged them with a distant nod.

While everyone was exchanging greetings, Darian suddenly made a gesture toward Whitney, motioning for her to come over.

Whitney raised an eyebrow, a vague suspicion forming in her mind.

She walked over and, at Darian’s gesture, switched off her mic pack.

Chapter 11 Teach Whiney & Lessimm

As expected, Darian said there was a call for her.

Whitney wasn’t surprised at all.

Given how much the Andersons cared about Emily, there was no way they’d miss the live broadcast.

After seeing Whitney bullyEmily so harshly and even making her cry, of course they couldn’t let that slide.

Whitney picked up the call, her face completely expressionless.

She’d barely put the phone to her ear when Brandon’s cold voice snapped through,Whitney, where did you get the guts to mess with Emily?

Whitney shot a glance at Darian, who was craning his neck, clearly trying to eavesdrop. She strolled off to the side, slipping into the shadows.

Chase was blind, and what about you? Are you blind too?Whitney said, her voice icy.

Brandon was so stunned that he went silent for a few seconds, totally not expecting Whitney to talk to him like that.

After a moment, Brandon finally spoke up. Remember why the Andersons put you on this show. Don’t get any ideas about things you have no business wanting.
