Chapter 1114 Have to Return the Favor!
Chapter 111 I Have to Return the Favor!
On the outskirts stood an abandoned factory.
The place was falling apart, with heaps of debris left behind by the collapse.
On this quiet, pitch–black night, it gave off an eerie, chilling vibe.
A sharp screech echoed in the night.
A convertible sports car whipped in at full speed, pulling off a stylish drift.
The tires shrieked as they tore across the pavement, the sound slicing through the silence.
The car slid to a perfect halt right at the entrance of the abandoned factory.
Eric stepped out of the car, his hair messily pushed back by the wind, his face almost ghostly pale from the cold.
Still, he kept up that arrogant young master vibe: head held high, hands shoved in his pockets, swaggering toward the factory like he was untouchable.
When Eric got to the entrance, he kicked at the door without slowing down.
A sharp bang echoed as his foot hit the door.
Eric called out lazily, “Tommy, I’m here.”
The moment he finished speaking, a sharp pain shot through his neck.
Before he could react, a heavy blow slammed into his knee, and he crashed to his knees with a loud thud.
The abandoned factory was a mess: filthy, full of rubble, and tiny rocks scattered everywhere.
When Eric crashed to his knees, it felt like they were shattered.
The pain was so sharp that he couldn’t help but cry out.
He gritted his teeth, shooting a fierce glare over his shoulder, wanting to see which idiot dared lay a hand on him. He whipped his head around.
And there was Tommy, the guy who was always by his side, always calling him “Mr. Anderson.” Now he was standing right in front of him with a steel pipe in hand.
“Wait, was it Tommy who just hit me?‘ he thought, stunned.
“What the hell is your problem?” Eric yelled angrily, gritting his teeth from the pain.
‘I can’t believe this bastard actually dared to lay a hand on me!‘ he fumed.
Tommy swallowed hard, cold sweat streaming down his forehead. He cast a nervous glance toward the distance and then tightened his grip on the steel pipe.
“Mr. Anderson, don’t blame me. If you want to blame someone, then blamel

and ended up messing with someone you shouldn’t have,” Tommy said.
‘You almost got me killed!‘ Tommy thought, still shaken.
‘Making money is tough, and survival is tougher.
‘Who could’ve guessed that trying to make a buck this time would almost cost me
‘It’s
not like I want to turn on the boss, but I don’t have a choice.
‘If I piss off Mr. Anderson, at least I’ll have a shot at running
‘I probably won’t make it till sunrise.‘
Eric hadn’t wrapped his head around what Tommy said.
‘What was he talking about? Someone I shouldn’t mess
‘Come on, it’s just Whitney. How could she possibly be

Eric wondered, baffled. ‘Is he referring to Whitney?
we shouldn’t mess with?”
Eric was about to call Tommy crazy or ask if he’d lost his mind, but then he noticed Tommy casting a subtle glance toward
a certain direction.
Eric caught on and followed Tommy’s line of sight.
In the spacious room, a figure could be seen lurking in the darkness.

She was sprawled out in a high–backed chair, looking completely relaxed.
Her head rested on one hand, her delicate, pale fingers absentmindedly fiddling with her phone.
The soft glow from her phone gently illuminated her face.
She looked striking and confident, her radiance undimmed by the darkness all around.
“Whitney!” Eric blurted out, his voice full of disbelief.
‘It really is Whitney!‘ he thought, stunned. ‘Why is she just sitting there?
‘Didn’t Tommy say he’d already got her?‘
As Eric recalled everything Tommy had done to him, it suddenly clicked; he finally understood what was really happening. “Whitney, so you really went and seduced Tommy?” Eric rasped, his voice thick with hatred as he shot her a furious glare Then he spun around to glare at Tommy. “Tommy, after all these years, you’re betraying me over a girl?”
Eric totally ignored what Tommy had said about “messing with someone you shouldn’t have.”
To him, Whitney was some weak girl. ‘How could she possibly slip out of Tommy’s hands, let alone make him betray me? ‘Now she’s got Tommy coming after me.
‘All because she’s got a pretty face.
‘She must’ve seduced Tommy, used her looks to lure him in.
‘I really have underestimated Whitney‘
A cold smirk flashed in Eric’s eyes as he clenched his jaw, fixing Tommy with a hard stare. “Tommy, I’m giving you one last shot. If you and your guys stick to the original plan, I promise I’ll let your betrayal slide.”
He paused, his eyes narrowing. “And I’ll pay you three times what I offered before.”
Eric thought for sure that after he said this, Tommy would hesitate.
Tommy would definitely be conflicted.
With enough money, he could get any woman he wanted.
No matter how pretty Whitney was, she couldn’t compete with cash.
Anyone with any sense would rather not cross Eric and get three times the
money.
After saying that, Eric lifted his chin, acting like Tommy should be grateful and hurry over to help him to his feet.
One second passed, then two, three… A whole minute passed.
Tommy didn’t move a muscle.
He stared at Eric like he’d lost his mind.
Tommy finally realized that Eric wasn’t throwing him under the bus. The guy honestly had no idea how dangerous Whitney really was.
‘Does Eric seriously think he can just settle this with money?‘ Tommy thought, shaking his head in disbelief. ‘Triple the money? Not a chance.‘
Even if Eric offered thirty times the

money if you’re not alive to spend it?‘ Tommy thought.
As it floated into Eric’s “ash, Tommy still wouldn’t dare take the jos.

a chill run down his spine and shivered, not knowing why.
But… whenever she spoke to him, her voice was always cautious, humble, almost begging.
Every time he heard her, he’d lash out at her right in front of Emily, telling her to stop trying to act familiar, and righteously declaring that Emily was the only sister he’d ever acknowledge.
But now, her tone was icy, almost mocking, completely different from before.
He didn’t have the nerve to argue back
When did this damn woman get such an intimidating presence?’ Eric wondered, his mind spinning.
Eric seethed with resentment and rage, refusing to accept it.
“What are you trying to do?” Eric snapped, gritting his teeth, still burning with anger and resentment.

He forced himself to act like he was still the boss around Whitney, clinging to that old sense of superiority.

Whitney shifted in her seat, her movements casual but full of attitude.
Moonlight poured through the busted roof, washing over her in a cool, silvery glow.
That light caught in her narrow, seductive eyes.
They sparkled with a faint silver gleam, flickering like shards of ice floating in the midnight darkness.
She seemed to be smiling.
But that smile never reached her eyes.

Out of nowhere, Eric felt a surge of intense fear rise up
It was the kind of fear that felt like it could swallow him whole, like he was being consumed by the shadows.
‘Return the favor?” Eric thought, his mind racing. What’s she getting at?”
Eric had a vague sense of what was coming, but the way he’d always seen Whitney made him think she wouldn’t really have the guts to pull something like that.
The next second, Whitney’s voice echoed through the room, chilly, with a hint of amusement. “Whatever gift Mr. Anderson wanted to send my way, you guys can make sure he gets the full treatment instead.”
Eric’s eyes shot wide open. “Whitney, you dare!”
“I absolutely dare,” Whitney replied with a faint smile, her fingers drumming lightly on the armrest.
She looked down on him like a queen eyeing a commoner.
