Chapter 22 Keep Going
The snake was dripping with blood and soaked Elian from head to toe. But he didn’t notice. He was too busy hauling it away as fast as he could.
Nora trailed behind him, at a loss for words. “This is getting ever creepier,‘ she thought. And like that, the three of them headed straight for the director’s cabin.
When the crew saw Elian covered in blood, they freaked out. Everyone rushed over, yelling for a doctor.
However, Elian casually tossed the snake on the floor and stretched his neck and shoulders as if nothing was wrong. The place erupted into total chaos.
Meanwhile, Whitney went straight to Darian and made her request.
Darian had been watching everything on the monitors, tracking every step of her foraging. He asked, “According to the rules, we can help you out. But what are you willing to trade for it?”
He was already thinking he would make Whitney hand over at least half of her ingredients as payment.
Whitney replied, “A homemade dinner.”
Darian blinked. “What?”
“Tonight, I’ll cook an extra serving for you,” Whitney said, completely serious.
Darian said, “That isn’t exactly a tempting offer.”
Whitney grinned. “How do you know it is not tempting if you haven’t tried it?”
Darian narrowed his eyes and scratched the low ponytail at the back of his head.
After a few seconds of silence, he finally said, “Fine. But if your dinner doesn’t blow me away, then besides what you use tonight, you have to give me all the rest of your ingredients.”
Whitney didn’t hesitate. “Deal.”
She scored a cart from Darian in exchange. It was huge, big enough for two adults to stretch out on. It could carry all the ingredients from the pit in one trip.
She pushed the cart and was about to call Elian and Nora over to help haul the ingredients.
But the second she stepped outside, she saw Elian pinned to the ground by a bunch of staff members. He was thrashing around and yelling that he was fine.
Nora couldn’t even get close, so s

When she spotted Whitney, she ran over like Whitney was her only hope. “Whitney,

help! All the staff members think Elian is dying, and they are trying to give him a full checkup”
‘
Whitney was totally at a loss for words.
In the end, Whitney managed to rescue Elian from the staff.
Seeing Elian covered in blood from head to toe, especially around his neck and shoulders where he looked soaked, Whitney froze. With him looking like that, it was hard not to assume the worst.
Even though all the celebrities on Real Survival had signed accident waivers with the production team, the staff still worried about something happening to the guests during filming.
An accident could force the show to make changes or even get taken off the air. But more importantly, these were living, breathing people. Their lives mattered.
Darian didn’t make this show to use celebrities for shock value. He wanted to break new ground for variety shows in the country. He hoped that one day, there would be more shows with real diversity.
Whitney dragged Elian out of the chaos and made him wipe off the blood and freshen
Once he cleaned up and was no longer covered in blood, the staff finally relaxed.

After changing, Elian hurried over and grabbed the cart. “How’d you get the crew to lend you a cart this big, Whitney? How much food did you find?”
Whitney replied, “Not a ton, but enough for all four of us.”
She made a point of saying “four people” instead of “two teams.” Touched by that, Elian and Nora led the group into the dense forest.
The cart was custom–made for the production crew to haul their equipment. Its wheels were tough and steady, perfect for rolling over the muddy ground of the wild
island.
Elian pushed the cart for a bit and quickly got the hang of it. Soon, he was rolling along pretty smoothly.
Before long, the three of them reached the heart of the dense forest without Whitney leading the way.
Elian and Nora’s eyes were instantly drawn to the tall, elegant figure standing in the forest.
Chapter 22 Keep Grou
The soft glow of the lights made Ryan look icy and almost unreal. His face was normally so distant and aloof, but now he seemed different.
He raised an eyebrow. And with those clear, refined eyes, even a distant glance made him look almost too enchanting to be real.
Even Elian couldn’t help but swallow hard. “Ryan really lives up to his reputation as the most breathtaking guy in our industry. No ordinary person could ever have a face like that.”
Nora was completely frozen in place, totally bewitched by his ridiculously good looks. It wasn’t anything deeper than pure, unfiltered awe.
Even after two hours in this tangled jungle full of vines, Ryan still looked flawless, like he hadn’t been affected at all.
Elian had camped in the wild before and knew enough to keep his raincoat cinched tight. Even so, he still looked a little rough around the edges after all that time. Before hauling that snake, he honestly thought he and Nora were among the top five groups. But now, standing next to Ryan, he knew he didn’t stand a chance.
While Elian and Nora were still lost in Ryan’s looks, Whitney had already walked over to him.
They quickly caught up and greeted Ryan sheepishly.
Ryan nodded at them and then gave Whitney a lazy, doubtful look.
Whitney explained, “Thanks to them, we’ve got an extra meat course tonight. So I asked them to help out and promised to give them a share of the ingredients.”
Elian and Nora glanced nervously at Ryan, worried he might say no.
But Ryan said in a casual tone and moved aside, “Qkay. All the ingredients are in that pit. Go get them.”
Elian and Nora both breathed a sigh of relief. They quickly thanked Ryan and rushed over, eager to prove themselves and show Ryan how valuable they could be.
When they saw the pit overflowing with food, they were dumbfounded.
They figured Whitney and Ryan’s group would bring back a decent amount, but this was more than anyone imagined. Even after splitting everything ten ways, there would still be plenty left over.
Elian and Nora both swallowed hard. It finally sank in that they were riding with a real heavy hitter.
They didn’t waste a second. Working like pros, they had their roles down. One pulled ingredients out of the pit while the other stacked them onto the cart.
Whitney and Ryan didn’t have to do a thing. Elian and Nora were yelling, “We got this!
