ones left. All they got were salt, black pepper, and a lighter.
They both looked pretty desperate as they asked Darian, “How are we supposed to cook with this?”
Darian said flatly, “Build your own stove and start a fire right here.”
The other three groups were already busy getting dinner ready, full of energy.
Jason and Kayla were furious. Their faces flushed red with anger.
Not far away, Emily stood in her luxury villa, and she was equally upset.
She had cleaned up and changed into a cute designer mini skirt.
From the intricately carved wooden railing, she watched the lively, smoky scene below. Her sweet, delicate face twisted with anger. And she gripped the railing so hard that her knuckles went white.
The wind carried the scent of food through the air. Emily’s stomach growled loudly and uncontrollably.
She was starving. After a full day of intense workouts and running all over the wild island hunting for ingredients, her stomach had completely caved in.
The smell of food cooking from the other groups drifted over. She was so hungry that tears started to well up in her eyes.
‘No way, she thought. ‘I’m not going to sit here and starve while Whitney enjoys her food. Why should Whitney get to act like she’s better than me?‘
Emily gritted her teeth, her face fierce with anger, and stormed back inside. “Chase?” she called out, her voice trembling and pitiful, on the verge of tears.
Chase sat in a wooden chair with a cigarette in his hand. His devilishly handsome face was shadowed with a gloomy mood. Emily’s voice only annoyed him more.
‘Here we go again, he thought. ‘All she does is cry all day. Is that the only thing she knows how to do? Can’t she do anything else? If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have ended up being humiliated like this today.‘
Chase put out his cigarette. He was completely fed up and wished Emily would leave him alone.
But then she came up to him, her eyes red and teary. She clutched her stomach and whimpered, “Chase, my stomach hurts so much.”
Chase’s frown deepened.
Chapter 25 Too Name
He couldn’t figure out why Emily was always so needy, constantly demanding his care and attention. Not like Whitney. She could have her foot bleeding and wouldn’t even complain, never asking anyone for help.
That sudden realization startled him.
He used to compare Whitney and Emily all the time, always thinking Whitney could never measure up to Emily.
‘What’s gotten into me?‘ he wondered. Emily is the one I spoil the most. How could! even think Emily isn’t as good as that nobody Whitney?”
Chase’s mind was a mess, but he forced himself to push those thoughts aside. He got up quickly and walked over to Emily. “What’s wrong?”
Emily pressed into his arms, grabbed his hand, and pushed it against her stomach. “It hurts,” she whimpered.
Chase started rubbing her stomach, his voice caught between worry and helplessness. “Is it because you’re hungry?”
But they couldn’t do a thing about it now. This was what they got for losing.
The livestream was still running. They had to hold out until midnight. Then the crew would finally cut the feed and give them something to eat.
Emily whimpered, wincing as pain shot through her. She forced a weak smile at Chase, looking pitiful and fragile.
“It’s okay if I go hungry. But I don’t want you to starve with me,” she said, clutching his hand tightly. “Chase, Whitney is only treating you this way because she’s mad at me. She doesn’t like me. It’s all my fault.
“But I really don’t want her to hate you because of me. Everyone says she is the winner tonight. If you ignore me and go to her instead, she’ll feel bad for you and share her dinner.
“That way, you won’t have to suffer like I am. I don’t want your stomach to hurt from being hungry too.”
She seemed to mean every word. Looked like she only cared about Chase. There wasn‘ t a trace of acting.
“Don’t even bring her up. She’s an ungrateful brat,” Chase snapped, his brows furrowed and his voice dripping with anger toward Whitney.
But Emily’s words made him realize something. Whitney had a whole cart full of ingredients. If she could share with two random people, then of course she wouldn’t forget her own brother.
He noticed how pale Emily looked from the pain. Without hesitation, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her straight to the bedroom.
Chapter 25 Ton Nave
“Wait here. I’ll be right back,” he said. Then he strode out.
As soon as he was gone, all traces of pain vanished from Emily’s face. She slowly sat up, her eyes locked on the closed door. A twisted smile crept across her lips.
‘Whitney, you think you can take me on? Naive,’ Emily thought. ‘As long as I have every Anderson under my thumb, you will never get a chance to turn things around.’
Meanwhile, Whitney was on a live cooking tutorial.
She never expected Ryan to actually get his hands dirty in the kitchen. He mostly hung around, washing vegetables and handing her things from time to time. For someone like him, even that felt beneath him.
At first, everyone watching figured that with her soft and dainty look, Whitney probably only knew how to make some basic home–cooked meals.
But then they saw her squatting next to the snake she had brought back, her face completely blank. She got to work on it without a moment’s hesitation.
Her knife work was fast, ruthless, and precise. Every move was quick, sharp, and right on target.
As she worked, she calmly explained to the audience which parts of the snake to avoid and which parts were the most delicious.
And for every dish that followed, she kept up the commentary, walking everyone through each step as she cooked.
Soon, the rich smell of her cooking spread across the entire wild island.
Everyone’s appetite came roaring back. Their gazes stayed fixed on her.
Even Darian wandered over to Whitney’s cooking spot with his hands behind his back, trying to sneak a look. He chuckled, “Hey, we’re partners in this, right? Any chance l can get a taste before everyone else?”
He had been secretly planning to confiscate all of Whitney’s leftover ingredients. That way, for the next five days, she would have no choice but to run around doing whatever the show demanded of her, all for her food.
But the moment that delicious aroma hit him, he knew he was going to lose.
‘No wonder Whitney was so confident about that bet,’ he thought. His mouth was literally watering.
Whitney didn’t even blink. “No.”
Darian was left speechless. He completely abandoned any hope of taking her ingredients now.
Whitney was getting distracted by his hanging around. “Go back to your work hut. I’ll

bring you some when it’s ready.”
Darian dragged his feet, looking back every few steps, clearly reluctant to leave.
As he stepped out of the livestream area, Whitney noticed Chase stop him.
The two talked for a moment. Darian shook his head repeatedly before hurrying off. Chase immediately followed him
Whitney didn’t give it another thought and went back to her cooking.
