Chapter 28 Reveals Chase and Emily’s True Colors

‘That bitch did this on purpose, Emily thought. ‘Whitney kept quiet about the live stream so she could watch me make a fool of myself. Does she really think trashing my reputation will turn her into the beloved Anderson princess?

‘She thinks these cheap tricks can bring me down? Dream on. I have put Whitney down once, and I can do it again as many times as it takes. I will always stay on top of her. Always!

Emily put on her best act, clutching her stomach and looking as pale as a ghost.

Her voice trembled, thick with tears and dripping with grievance. “Whitney, if my foot hadn’t gotten hurt, I wouldn’t have dragged Chase down. I already feel terrible. I know I‘ m not as capable as you, but I did everything I could.”

Then she covered her face and started crying softly, playing the victim perfectly. The message was clear: she was already miserable enough, so no one could blame her.

Whitney couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re not as capable as me? How is that my problem? I’m supposed to risk my own safety to make you feel better, only because you’re miserable?”

Emily was so furious that she clenched her fist hard. ‘That bitch. Why is she being so savage right now?‘ Emily seethed. ‘She knows this is live. Does she not care that the viewers might tear her apart for running her mouth like that?‘

Ryan, who was supposed to eat first, was now slouched on a square stool, lazily leaning against the side of the stove.
