Chapter 46 Whitney Shines Again
Chapter 46 Whitney Shines Again
Whitney mixed the crushed grass into the bait and handed it to Nora. “Stir it up.”
Nora stared at the wriggling, squirming things in the little box. Her face went pale, but she fought back the urge to gag, grabbed a stick, and stirred.
‘Why am I the one stuck with this? Ryan’s standing right there doing nothing,‘ Nora thought.
After a minute or so, Whitney, who had been standing at the shore gazing out at the sea, turned around and called, “Alright, that’s enough. Grab the bait and the rest of the gear. Let’s get on the raft.”
The raft was much bigger than Henry and Elian’s tiny boat. With all three of them onboard, there was still room to line up several buckets along the side.
And that wasn’t the wildest part. On top of the buckets already on the raft, Whitney had Nora balance three more right on her head while rowing.
Nora was speechless. ‘Seriously? Does she actually think we’re going to catch enough fish to fill all of these?‘ she thought.
Whitney pointed toward the spot she had in mind and had both Nora and Ryan paddle in that direction.
Nora knew she was here to tag along for the ride, so she obediently took the oars the moment they climbed aboard.
But what really caught her off guard was this. Whitney, who usually doted on Ryan, was actually making him do physical labor.
‘Is she getting tired of him? Did the spark fizzle out already?‘ Nora wondered.
Nora’s big, pretty eyes flicked back and forth between the two of them, dying for a front–row seat to whatever drama was unfolding.
Ryan followed instructions without hesitation. The second Whitney gave the word, he started rowing.
He sat on the raft, his long legs folded awkwardly, with nowhere to go. The oar rested across his lap, and his perfectly shaped hand, like something out of a painting, lay gently over it.
Golden sunlight spilled across the scene, turning everything into a picture so striking it could stop anyone’s breath.
Nora couldn’t help but swallow. ‘Good lord, Ryan is something else. With a face like that, who wouldn’t be mesmerized? Nobody could get sick of looking at him. Whitney’s no exception, she thought.

The raft drifted slowly toward the spot Whitney had pointed out. After a few adjustments, she seemed satisfied.
She took the bait from Nora and, without a second thought, tossed it straight into the
sea.
Nora stared in disbelief. “Whitney, why would you throw all the bait in? You dumped the whole thing.”
‘I forced myself to stir that disgusting bait, trying not to throw up, and she chucks it into the ocean like it’s nothing?‘ Nora thought..
[What is Wild Beauty doing?]
[There wasn’t much bait to begin with, and Mr. Howard gave her most of his share. She‘ s tossing it all away?]
[Dumping the bait straight into the sea? Isn’t that a complete waste?]
[Ugh! As someone who loves fishing, I’m dying inside right now. Supplies are already tight, and she’s throwing bait around like she couldn’t care less.]
[What kind of stunt is Whitney trying to pull? She won’t admit she picked the wrong gear, and now she’s making a mess of things. Does she think she’s got endless food, so she doesn’t care if the rest starve?]
The trolls were spamming the chat, fanning the flames for all they were worth, when suddenly, something appeared on screen that they’d probably never witness again in their lives.
The entire frame erupted with fish and shrimp bursting out of the water.
They were leaping everywhere, circling the raft, thrashing and splashing like some wild special effect gone haywire, drenching the camera in seawater.
[Are those fish and shrimp actually dancing?!
[Damn! Did they all get drunk or something? It’s like every last one of them is trying to launch itself onto the raft.]
[Is this real? Are those actual fish?]
[Not sure, keep watching.]
The viewers sat frozen, mouths hanging open, ready to drop to their knees in awe. [I’ve got a crazy theory. Maybe all these fish are acting like this because of whatever Wild Beauty tossed into the water.]
[We totally misjudged her. As always, nothing she does is random.]
[Wild Beauty is unstoppable! All hail Wild Beauty. She’s a goddess.]
The chat went into a frenzy, as if some devoted fan army had stormed in, everyone

screaming Whitney’s name nonstop.
The screen was still exploding with fish, shrimp, and all manner of sea creatures, leaping and thrashing without end.
Whitney tossed the throw net she’d made to Ryan. “Go catch some fish. Think you can manage?”
Ryan tested the weight of the net in his hand. “I’ll figure it out.”
Whitney grabbed her harpoon, shot a look at Nora, and said, “Let’s spear some fish.”
She raised her arm and sent the harpoon slicing through the air. In seconds, it was stacked with fish, lined up like a skewer.
She tossed the fish into a bucket and kept going. Round after round, until every bucket on the raft was filled to the brim.
Nora was speechless. She hadn’t even had a chance to do anything yet. Now it made perfect sense why Whitney had her haul all those buckets aboard.
Ryan was having an absurdly easy time of it. Genius that he was, even though he’d never handled fishing gear before, one glance was all it took to get the hang of it.
Fish and shrimp were practically raining from the sky. Ryan barely had to lift a finger. He tossed the net, gave it a pull, and bam, the ten–foot net came back absolutely overflowing.
There was no way the raft could hold all that weight.
Whitney grabbed some fishing line from one of the buckets, looped it around each bucket several times, then set them afloat on the water and tied the lines back to the
raft.
Somehow, those buckets bobbed there, steady as could be on the sea.
Nora couldn’t hold it in anymore and shouted, “Holy crap, that’s amazing.”
[LOL Nora, get a grip! Don’t blow your cute–girl image now.]
[Whitney is way too overpowered! Seriously, is there anything she can’t do?]
[I’ve lost count of how many times she’s shocked me. My mom asked why I was staring at the screen with my jaw on the floor. I told her I was watching a legend. She’s genuinely concerned now.]
[She’s the mastermind behind all of this. Everything is under Wild Beauty’s control.]
[Where are all those haters who were mocking Wild Beauty earlier? Cat got their tongues?]
[LOL, like they’d dare show their faces now! If they pipe up, we’ll just throw their idol’s lame moments right back at them.]
Chapter 46 Whitney Shines Again
[What idol?]
Come on, isn’t it obvious? Wild Beauty’s an ordinary person who’s only been on this show for three days How could there be so many haters lurking in the livestream trying to stir up trouble?]
[So who do you think sent those haters?]
[Whoever she’s standing in the way of, that’s who sent them.]
That last comment basically slapped Emily’s name all over the chat without anyone having to say it.

Meanwhile, high up in the Anderson Group tower, in the heart of Roynfort’s most exclusive district, Brandon grabbed an ashtray from his desk and sent it flying at the man in front of him.
His face, already cold and menacing, was now twisted with fury. “You useless bunch of idiots! This is how you get things done?”
