Chapter 63 Legal Warnings
Emily slipped and fell into the sea, with huge waves nearly swallowing her. The Anderson family fell into chaos after her narrow escape.
Paula cried wildly, pressing her husband to contact the production team and arrange a private plane for Emily immediately. She never calmed down, even when Emily was rescued.
Paula clung to her chest and slouched on the sofa, looking pale. She asked, “Joel, tell Brandon to go to that wild island and bring Emily and Whitney back. That production team is a joke. No safety. They can’t afford if Emily gets hurt/
A lazy teen on the other side of sofa pulled his feet off the table and sat up straight. “Emily can come back, but not Whitney That bitch kept picking on Emily and hurt her on the show.”
He kicked the table in anger and growled, “Whitney totally misses the point of why we sent her there.”
The boy was Eric Anderson, the fifth heir of the Anderson family. He was totally devoted to Emily and always stuck right by her side.
Eric was into gaming and racing. Less famous than Chase in showbiz, he couldn’t help Emily’s career much, so that he couldn’t stay by Emily’s side all the time.
He’d watched Whitney pick on and bully Emily since yesterday, and now she’d even laid hands on her.
Eric was pissed. He thought Chase was useless, because he couldn’t control Whitney, couldn’t protect Emily, and let Whitney bully her.
An ashtray flew right at Eric with a loud crack.
Eric was a pro gamer and racing champ with sharp reflexes. He dodged the ashtray at once and jumped off the sofa, shouting, “Dad, what are you doing?”
Edgar wore a cold, stern look. His sharp business eyes fixed on Eric coldly. “Whitney is part of this family.” “She’s not!” Eric spat. “Whitney is from a poor town. She doesn’t deserve it.”
Edgar’s brows knitted. Even without anger, he was intimidating.

Paula wiped her tears and nudged Edgar’s elbow. “Don’t blame Eric. Whitney slapped Emily. It’s Whitney who’s wrong. Emily had never been so humiliated.”
Paula was glad when she first found Whitney. She heard Whitney lived in a poor town with an old guy, struggling every day. Paula felt so sorry for her and wanted to make amends, but she thought, ‘Why cannot Whitney get along with Emily? We raised her for nineteen years. No blood, but that time together was real.’
Paula had tried to treat her two daughters fairly. Yet Whitney kept pushing her limits and bullying Emily, ruining the peace at home. Nothing like this had ever happened before Whitney came back.
Over time, Paula’s feelings for Whitney cooled. Her loyalty quietly leaned toward Emily.
Paula promised Chase she’d let Whitney join the show. She hoped it would help fix the relationship between her two daughters.
Paula never thought Whitney would slap Emily during a live show. If she’d do that on camera, off–camera was surely much
worse.
To Paula, Whitney’s behavior was a direct challenge to her authority as a mom.
Before the show, Paula told Whitney and Emily to help each other. She reminded Whitney to take care of Emily. And this was how Whitney repaid Paula.
“Enough. We’re done with this.” Edgar’s tone was icy and final. No arguing.
Eric’s voice shot up. “What? Dad, are you crazy? You’re letting this go? Whitney hit Emily!”
Edgar’s cold stare silenced Eric even though he still wanted to argue. Paula didn’t dare speak either. They both just stood there, watching him go upstairs.
The living room went quiet. Eric pulled out his phone and made a call with anger. It was quickly picked up. He gritted his teeth and said, “Brandon, did you watch the show?”
“Yeah, Brandon replied in a chilly voice.
“You promised to help Emily chase her dream. Successfully unlocked!‘re still doing nothing?” Eric thought about the
hate comments online. It made him furious.
Brandon replied, “I’ve handled it.”
Chapter 63 Legal Warnings
Eric looked furious. “If you handled it, why is Emily still getting hate? Whitney hit her. So why does everyone blame Emily instead?
“Those idiots online don’t know anything. Nothing. They just talk crap.”
Eric’s eyes shot to Joel, who sat across on the couch with his laptop. “Joel, track down the IPs of everyone trashing Emily. We’re sending them all lawyer letters.”
Joel glanced up. A flicker of blue light reflected in his eyes behind the gold–rimmed glasses. “Don’t be dumb, Eric.” “It’s useless.” Brandon’s voice on the phone lined up with Joel’s.
Brandon’s eyes darkened. “I hired trolls to go after Whitney and make her look like Emily’s sidekick. But it didn’t work.” Brandon’s eyes stayed on the open file on the table, his expression darkening. “I tried digging into Whitney’s past for dirt. But nothing. It’s like she just popped into existence.”
With the phone on speaker, Brandon’s voice hung in the living room.
They were stunned and thought, ‘How could that be? No dirt on Whitney at all?
‘Most people have a few embarrassing or stupid moments growing up. No one is perfect. There’s always something to laugh at. How could there be nothing?‘
Joel frowned and looked down. His fingers flew across the keyboard like a pianist’s.
The sound of typing reached Brandon. He said, “Joel, don’t bother.”
