Their Punching Bag Became The Storm novel Chapter 65

Chapter 65 Dry Her Hair

Whitney had blurted it out without thinking.

After she said it, she fell silent.

Did I really just say that to Ryan’s face? Whitney was

in front of him.

That was embarrassing

mortified. She’d actually spilled all her true thoughts about him right

Ryan stood behind Whitney, hair dryer in hand. His long lashes lowered slightly, and there was a faint smile in his eyes. Who told you I was weak?

Whitney just stared at him, lost for words.

Should I tell him I figured it out myself?

He just looks so delicate, like he couldn’t even lift a finger, Whitney thought to herself,

The hair dryer hummed to life, warm air blowing gently over her.

Behind her was Ryan’s low, magnetic laugh.

Whitney’s ears tingled, and she immediately looked up, ready to explain.

Ryan’s long fingers flashed before her eyes.

His hand rested on her head. His fingers were slender, and every knuckle was perfectly defined.

With a slight curl of his finger, he caught a strand of her hair.

The warm air drifted softly around Whitney’s head.

Mixed in was Ryan’s intense coolcedar scent, dense and fragrant, lingering around her.

Feeling a little uneasy, Whitney glanced aside and gave a couple of awkward coughs to break the tension.

When Whitney shifted her gaze, she happened to spot a mirror not far from her side.

In the reflection, she saw Ryan, tall and slender, standing right in front of her. As he moved, his white Tshirt would sometimes brush against her face, carrying that cool, distinctive scent of his.

The room glowed with warm light, and with Ryan standing against it, the hazy shadows wrapped around him, as if he were cloaked in a divine radiance.

It only made his cool, aristocratic face seem even more sacred and untouchable.

And yet, this noble man, with his long lashes lowered and faint shadows falling across his eyes, was bending down to serve her.

His slender, flawless fingers wove through her hair.

It added a hint of irresistible, worldcharming allure to his already cool, untouchable demeanor.

Whitney’s heart flipped.

She quickly looked away from the mirror, going stiff.

Blowdrying her hair only took a few minutes.

But to Whitney, it felt like an eternity.

7 As soon as Ryan’s hand left her hair, Whitney instantly sprang away, putting several steps between them.

Ryan, still holding the hair dryer, tilted his head slightly, looking at her with a hint of confusion.

Thanks,Whitney blurted out.

With that, she spun around and bolted out the door.

She didn’t notice Ryan’s eyes fixed on her retreating figure, his pale lips seemingly tinged with a soft cherryblossom pink. And little by little, his lips curved into a subtle smile.

After the unexpected incident at sea, the production team wanted to pause the livestream, but the viewers strongly protested.

Darlan had to announce that the heavy rain was back, so even if they kept the livestream on, there would be no more challenges for the day.

Chapter 65 Dry Her Hair

The viewers were totally fine with it.

So, once everyone had settled down, Darian restarted the livestream and began revealing the rankings for the afternoon fishing challenge.

Despite the unexpected incident, the results still had to be announced.

There was no doubt about it. Whitney’s team came out on top.

Even with the two nets of fish Emily’s team caught by breaking the rules and leaving the safe zone, they still couldn’t beat Whitney’s team.

When the results were announced, Kayla, Jason, and Bella didn’t say a single word.

After what had just happened, all the attention was on Whitney.

Chase and Emily were still in their rooms.

So, the three of them couldn’t and didn’t dare to object to the results.
