Chapter 82 Wanna Try the Other Hand?
Chapter 82 Wanna Try the Other Hand?
Whitney stood beside Kayla, her eyes half–lidded and lazy, yet she looked down at Kayla with an air of superiority.
She was noble, elegant, and so sacred that she seemed untouchable.
Kayla instinctively pulled her neck back, her pupils widening as an overwhelming, endless fear flooded her.
Her throat felt like it was sealed shut, and she couldn’t get a single word out.
Then, Whitney, like a goddess descending from her throne, slowly raised her foot and used it to lift Kayla’s injured hand, the one with the dislocated wrist.
The pain was so excruciating that Kayla’s face contorted, her body trembling uncontrollably.
As soon as Whitney nudged Kayla’s hand up with her foot, Whitney’s hand came down on Kayla’s wrist once more.
Kayla cried out, and another scream tore through the air.
Kayla’s body was convulsing uncontrollably.
Tears streamed down her face, smearing her heavy makeup and leaving thick black streaks around her eyes, making her look like she’d botched a smoky eye.
It was kind of terrifying.
“Whitney…” Darian hesitated, watching the scene unfold, unsure if he should move the camera away.
He thought, ‘Everything is going out live on the stream.
are definitely going to roast Whitney for this.
‘No matter what the reason is ea
He swallowed hard and tried to smooth things over. “Alright, alright, it was a misunderstanding. Elian’s back is fine now, and he is okay. Let’s head back to the meeting spot and get started on dinner.”
Whitney raised an eyebrow. “There’s no misunderstanding. She didn’t believe I could fix Elian’s back, so I had to make her believe it, didn’t I?
“This is all live. After what Emily said, no matter what I do, people won’t believe me unless I prove myself. So what else can I do?” As she spoke, she lifted her gaze and shot a sidelong look at the camera.
That look, through the camera, everyone watching the stream felt their hearts skip two beats.
It was as if she were on a rampage.
After she was singled out by Whitney, Emily’s face went pale, then her eyes reddened, and her expression turned pitiful, as if she’d been falsely accused. “No… That’s not what I meant.
“It slipped my mind that Whitney could do something like this. It was my misunderstanding-
“I don’t care what you meant,” Whitney interrupted coldly, her tone indifferent and her expression showing she had zero patience for Emily’s drama. “Are you done? Then get out.”
Kayla was still on the ground, and after a while, the pain in her wrist finally started to fade.
She tried moving her hand.
To her surprise, her hand was actually healed.
‘Whitney really has this kind of power!‘ Kayla thought, stunned.
She gritted her teeth and pushed herself up from the ground, her face grim and pale.
Every time she went up against Whitney, not only did she fail to get on Emily’s good side, but she always ended up making Emily hate her more.
She was honestly scared that once they got off the island, Anderson Entertainment would put her on ice and never let her see the light of day again.
Kayla forced herself to stand protectively in front of Emily, stubbornly lifting her chin. “Even if you really have that kind of power, you’re the one who made everyone misunderstand!
“Emily’s being too nice, that’s all!”
Elian might have been cautious around Emily, but when it came to Kayla, who was always so sharp–tongued and disrespectful, he didn’t bother holding back.
He let out a cold laugh at Kayla. “Kayla, you’re hilarious. Who on this show doesn’t know Whitney is the boss for Nora and me?
Chapter 82 Wänna Try the Other Hand?
Emily came over and accused Whitney of doing something to me, then acted as if she were doing me a huge favor, apologizing and pleading with Whitney for my sake.
“Honestly, I’m curious. Before today, Emily and I hadn’t exchanged ten sentences. So why is she suddenly running over to apologize for me?”
He sounded as if he were arguing with Kayla.
But everything he said, both directly and indirectly, was basically telling the stream viewers that Emily’s behavior now made no sense at all.
So, it was obvious why she would act like that.
Emily never expected that some ordinary idol from a talent show would actually dare to get snarky with her on live stream.
She thought, ‘He really thinks that because Whitney’s backing him up, I won’t do anything to him.
Emily was fuming inside, but on the surface, she kept up her sweet, innocent act, gazing at Elian with those big, pitiful eyes. “Elian, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault… I got too worried and ended up misunderstanding…”
As she spoke, her voice started to tremble, sounding as if she were about to cry again.
Finally, as if she were too overwhelmed to say anything else, she gave Elian and Whitney a deep bow.
Then, she covered her face and hurried away.
“Emily!” Chase called out several times, but Emily didn’t seem to notice him.
He frowned, glaring at Whitney in frustration. “If you hadn’t messed Emily up so badly, would she have gotten things so twisted?
“Are you happy now?”
Whitney flashed an alluring smile, her eyes curving seductively as she clapped her hands. “Satisfied. Very satisfied.”
Chase’s face darkened. “You…”
He gritted his teeth, disappointment clear in his eyes as he looked at Whitney.
Then he turned and went after Emily.
Whitney yawned, her face the picture of lazy indifference.
She shot a laid–back glance at Darian and the others still lingering by the door, her tone cool. “Ryan is still running a fever, so he is taking the day off. Darian, you and the camera crew can head back to the meeting spot.
“Your boss is already gone, and you’re still hanging around. What, you want to try the other hand next?” She lowered her gaze, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Kayla was speechless. She spun around and bolted out of there as if her life depended on it.
It was as if she were running from a pack of wild animals.
‘Finally, some peace and quiet, Whitney thought.
Whitney stretched lazily, then turned and headed back inside.
After the commotion, dinner prep turned into a mad scramble.
Off–camera, Whitney whipped up some light, healthy dishes for Ryan, who was still sick. She also made a few special dishes for Nora, Elian, and Henry, as she’d promised.
Of course, Darian couldn’t resist and came over with his bowl, shamelessly mooching some food.
He was supposed to be taking a break and not on camera.
But in the end, he still got dragged into the shot.
Once everyone was stuffed and happy, Darian set his bowl aside, rubbed his belly, and waved Whitney over.
The cameras switched over to the guests doing the dishes.
Whitney, finally off duty, could log off the stream at last.
She headed over to Darian.
Darian led her into the director’s room.
By now, dinner was over, and Darian was alone in the director’s room.
He cleared his throat and said, “I’ve been swamped all day and haven’t had a chance to talk to you alone. Whitney, be straight with me. What’s really going on between you and the Anderson siblings?”

Whitney caught on right away. “Is the internet freaking out about me again?”
Darian nodded. “Yeah, it’s pretty wild. But don’t worry, Ryan has got your back. With him on your side, all those rumors are
baseless gossip.”
Because of Emily’s reckless stunt yesterday, she almost got two innocent people killed.
Whitney could already picture Emily being absolutely dragged online.
