Their Punching Bag Became The Storm novel Chapter 96

Chapter 96 Who Would Cry and Beg?

Chapter 96 Who Would Cry and Beg?

When Chase heard that, he couldn’t help but feel a flicker of annoyance deep down. His brows furrowed tightly. Is Whitney really mad at me? And now she’s talking tough right to my face?

What’s with all this talk about not connecting the Anderson family anymore? She doesn’t plan on coming back? Seriously, is this her way of playing hard to get?Chase scoffed to himself.

Chase and Emily were thinking the same thing. They couldn’t believe that Whitney, who was always craving family affection, would actually walk away from the Anderson family. Maybe this was her tactic to make them admit she was the heiress. Emily, stop making excuses for her,Chase said, pulling Emily back. If she wants to keep pretending, let her. When she. gets exposed, she’ll be the one embarrassed, not us.

He let out a cold laugh, his eyes icy as he looked at Whitney. Don’t come crying to me when that happens.

Whitney curved her lips into a mysterious smile, giving him a lazy, sideways glance. Guess we’ll see who ends up crying and begging after all.”

Chase let out a sharp scoff and pulled Emily onto the boat. The other three glanced at Whitney, then followed them onto the boat.

Before getting on, Kayla shot Whitney a smug, challenging smile. Then she turned and took a seat next to Emily. Emily frowned, but kept quiet and didn’t say a word.

Whitney raised an eyebrow. Well, did Kayla strike a deal? Since when did Emily become so accommodating? She narrowed her eyes, a sly, mischievous glint flickering in her gaze before disappearing in a heartbeat.

The five of them boarded the boat. Cohen, seeing Whitney still standing there, was about to hurry her along.

But then, a low, magnetic voice sounded, smooth and rich, like velvet and glass. In five minutes, a cruise ship will be here.Cohen’s eyes went wide as he stared at Ryan. How could the production team possibly afford to rent a cruise ship to pick us up?Cohen thought. The production team only set up this one boat for the guests. Wait, could it be Ryan himself?Whew, that’s good.Elian said, patting his chest in relief. Then we’ll hitch a ride on Ryan’s cruise ship later. He really had zero interest in sharing a boat with Chase and Emily.

He was worried that on the way back, fakesweet Emily would pull some stunt again. He was afraid he’d lose his cool and toss Emily right into the ocean. Just like that, the heiress would be gone.

Elian’s obvious relief and happiness made the five people on the boat instantly sour. Their faces darkened.

Elian quickly backpedaled, flashing a sheepish grin. I thought that boat was way too small for all ten of us, especially with all this luggage.”

Truth was, that boat was plenty big. There was plenty of room for all ten of them. But since Ryan had sent his own personal yacht, Cohen didn’t say anything more. He nodded and let the boat carrying the five leave first.

Emily gave Ryan a longing look, but when she saw he had no intention of inviting her onto the yacht, she pulled her gaze back, clearly disappointed. The boat quickly drifted away.

With no cameras around and the Anderson siblings out of sight, Elian didn’t bother hiding how he really felt.

He let out a long sigh and turned to Ryan, appreciative. Thanks for letting us use your yacht, Ryan! Honestly, I couldn’t stand the thought of sharing a boat with them on the way back.

Nora nodded along, clearly agreeing.

Ryan smirked, his tone easy. Yeah, they’re way too loud for me.

Nora snickered, unable to hold back her laughter. Maybe Emily would get so mad she would cry again when she heard what Ryan said about her.

Soon enough, Ryan’s cruise ship arrived right on schedule. The ship was colossal, ten stories high, gleaming with gold, and truly breathtaking in size.

This was the kind of vessel built for hosting extravagant galas on the open sea. It was the pinnacle of exquisite luxury, every inch radiating opulence.

Henry, who’d spent decades hustling in the industry, had never laid eyes on a cruise ship this lavish.

Nora and Elian stared at the gleaming cruise ship, gulping in disbelief, Is this reallythe ship that’s here to take us off the island?

Ryan nodded.

They whooped with excitement, grabbed their luggage, and rushed aboard. They ran around the cruise ship, exploring every corner in excitement. Henry went up after them.

Once everyone was on board, Ryan walked up behind Whitney, his voice low and a little rough. Do you like it?

Whitney looked at him, a bit confused. Is he talking about this cruise ship? She tilted her head and glanced at Ryan. Isn’t this a little too over the top?

Honestly, this is the most lowkey cruise ship I own,Ryan said, looking genuinely troubled.

Whitney was at a loss for words. Alright, you win. Rich is your middle name, she thought. Whitney stepped forward, about to board the ship.

Ryan reached out and grabbed her wrist. A crisp, pinelike fragrance drifted up from behind her. His voice floated down from above, tinged with amusement. Which sector of Prestige Manor do you live in?

Prestige Manor was the most luxurious district in Roynfort, sprawling across a huge area. Each residence was a private mansion, completely independent from the others.

High society loved its hierarchies, always ranking everyone by status. Even in Prestige Manor, the ultimate symbol of power and privilege, the space was split into sectors based on residentssocial rank.

It was divided into five sectors: S, A, B, C, and D. The lowest tier, Sector D, was still a place everyone was dying to get into Whitney glanced at him. What, you live in Prestige Manor too?

Ryan smirked, saying nothing.

Whitney shrugged. Guess that’s fate.

For someone like Ryan, living in Prestige Manor was hardly surprising. But he was an Alister, always booked and flying all over the place, so he probably didn’t spend much time at home.

Still, since they both lived in Prestige Manor, it made things a lot more convenient. She could find an opportunity to check on his health and see what was really going on with him.

I live in Sector S,Whitney said, thinking for a moment. Don’t tell me you’re right next door?

Sector S only had two villas. With Ryan’s status, he’d definitely be in either Sector A or S. Ryan’s smile grew brighter, his refined dark eyes catching the golden light, making it look as if a halo was shimmering around him.

He nodded. What a coincidence, Wild Beauty. Turns out we’re neighbors.

Whitney stared, speechless. She watched Ryan’s tall figure as he boarded the yacht. She took a deep breath.

He’s a patient, after all. Having a few issues is totally normal. As a doctor, I need to be patient and cut him some slack.Whitney gave herself a small smile, mentally reminding herself to be patient and understanding.

Though there were only a handful of them on board, the cruise ship had every luxury and amenity they could imagine. Nora and Elian were having a blast, totally letting loose and running wild all over the place. Henry, meanwhile, was busy taking videos around the ship to send to his daughter back home.

Whitney sat down on the deck, letting the sea breeze wash over her as she pulled out her phone. As soon as she turned it on, her screen exploded with over a hundred messages. They were all from Paula, Brandon, Joel, and Eric on WhatsApp.
