No wonder she didn't want to deal with him. His crying was enough to drive anyone insane.
Realizing a guest was still present, Raymond immediately choked back his sobs. "What are you laughing at?"
"Nothing. I'm just a happy person," Flossie said with a blink.
Raymond felt even more aggrieved.
He had a nagging feeling she was laughing at him.
Finally, he stormed back to his room in a huff to change his clothes.
Celestine contacted a plumber, paying extra for an emergency call-out. The water in the kitchen finally stopped flowing, but half the apartment was practically a write-off.
"Celly, why don't you move in with me? I have a spare room."
Flossie helped Celestine mop the floor and squeegee the water away.
The two culprits trailed behind them, wiping things down with towels.
Celestine gave a wry smile. "Flossie, thank you, but I'll pass. I took a look, and it seems like only the living room and kitchen have major damage. I'll find a renovation company later to see if they can fix it up."
Flossie was in a relationship. It would be inappropriate for Celestine to move in alone, let alone with Raymond in tow.

“No one, Mom. I... my eyes just feel a bit uncomfortable.”
Raymond instantly switched back to his obedient look.
“See, the apartment is flooded. Why don’t we go home together? I promise, this time I’ll behave. I won’t make you angry anymore.”
“No need. I’ve already divorced your father. That’s your home, not mine. If you want to go back, I can take you there right now.”
“No! I’m not going back! Mom, wherever you are, I’ll be there!”
