Thorns Grow After Betrayal (Celeste and Chester) novel Chapter 366

Eleanor paused for a moment, but this time she didn't leave immediately as she had before. "So, are you saying you designed the sketch I just saw yourself?"

"Yes! She drew it, too!" Yolande shouted instinctively.

Since Celestine was willing to step in and defuse the situation, she must want to keep the client. Yolande figured she wouldn't deny it.

Celestine shot Yolande a cold glance. "No. I've never drawn anything like this."

As she spoke, the color drained from Yolande's face.

Eleanor raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Excuse me, but my time is valuable. I don't have any to spare watching you two fight."

With that, she turned to leave.

Celestine didn't follow. Instead, she picked up the design sketch and spoke calmly, "However, I can change it into a design you'll like."

"It's good to be confident, Miss Selwyn."

Eleanor stopped in her tracks and scoffed.

When she turned back, Celestine had already picked up a pen and was sketching over the draft.

The long, floor-sweeping train of the wedding gown was decisively shortened, now ending at the calf. Yet, it lost none of its luxurious effect.

As Celestine continued to alter the design, the mockery on Eleanor's face gradually gave way to a look of serious concentration.

Celestine's creative vision was bold, introducing many unexpected improvements.

If the circumstances had been different, Eleanor would have wanted to applaud her.

Soon, Celestine handed the revised design to Eleanor.

Eleanor's interest was piqued. "Alright, I'm willing to continue working with you, but only you. I don't want any other clueless people interfering with the gown you design for me. Furthermore, I want a completely new style, one that has nothing to do with this sketch."

She set the drawing down, tapping it absently.

Yolande's face flushed crimson, as if she had been utterly humiliated.
