"Is that all?" Eleanor propped her chin on her hand, glancing at Celestine. "You still haven't apologized to Celestine."
Yolande gritted her teeth, completely reluctant.
But feeling the pressure from Eleanor, she ultimately had to concede to Celestine.
"I'm sorry!"
After spitting out the words, she stormed out of the conference room.
Bagehot's head throbbed. "I apologize, Miss Eleanor. I'm sorry you had to witness that spectacle."
"It was pretty ridiculous," Eleanor said flippantly, showing him no respect whatsoever.
Bagehot held his tongue.
As he left, he saw how warmly Eleanor was treating Celestine, and a dark glint flashed in his eyes.
The conference room fell silent once more.
"Miss Eleanor, thank you for speaking up for me."
"I wasn't doing it for you. I was doing it for my wedding gown." Eleanor's attitude reverted to its previous iciness.
Celestine pressed her lips together, saying nothing.
"Alright, that's all for today. My demands aren't many, but if you're like that other woman and try to pass off someone else's work as your own, I can't guarantee this company will stay in business." Eleanor stood up, her disdainful glance sweeping the room.
Celestine gave her assurance. "Don't worry, that will never happen with me."
At the same time, she was stunned.
How could this client tell at a glance that there was something wrong with Yolande's sketch?
Who exactly was she?
"By the way, I heard your company also has a store called Velvet Noir that features your designs?"
"Yes."
"Take me there."
Without giving her a chance to refuse, Eleanor had already strode out of the office.
"Mr. Kelsey, I'm taking one of your employees out for a bit."
Bagehot maintained his signature smile. "Miss Eleanor, you have quite a sense of humor. The employees are still on the clock, we'd need their consent…"
