Then, he handed the menu to Willow.
Willow was in no mood to keep arguing with him. She swatted the menu away. "Eat by yourself. I'm not playing along with your little act."
Julian Sinclair wasn't annoyed. Instead, he genuinely started ordering from the waiter standing nearby. Finally, he added, "Get the lady the exact same thing."
Willow frowned. "I don't need it."
Julian insisted, "Hers will be the same as mine."
For a moment, the waiter looked torn.
Seeing the poor guy's embarrassment, Willow decided not to say anything else and just kept her mouth shut. As for Julian, if he wanted to act like a lunatic, let him. She wasn't going to take a single bite anyway.
The food arrived shortly after. Along with the dishes came a bouquet of roses. The waiter handed it to Willow, explaining it was a complimentary gift from the restaurant for every couple that dined there.
A wave of disgust washed over Willow. Even the roses, which she usually loved, looked like an eyesore right now. She immediately refused. "I have nothing to do with him. Take the flowers away."
Perhaps noticing her harsh tone, the waiter didn't argue this time and tactfully took the bouquet away.
Throughout the entire exchange, Julian didn't say a word, nor did he force the issue. He simply ate his meal with absolute composure.
Willow couldn't even be bothered to glance at him. She looked down at her phone, figuring they could just as easily talk after he finished eating.
