Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 152

"Informing me?" Julian shot back. "You don't have the power to do that."

Willow didn't bother arguing further. Based on her understanding of him, she could roughly guess his endgame. "So, your demand is that we don't get divorced?"

Even as she said the words, she found it completely unbelievable, but all his current actions pointed to exactly that.

"You could interpret it that way," Julian said smoothly.

"That's impossible," Willow flatly denied. "Everything else is negotiable, but that is absolutely off the table."

"Why?" Julian looked genuinely confused. "Relying on Sinclair Group and relying on me, you can have everything you've ever wanted. If you lose all of that, how exactly do you plan on surviving? Have you even thought about it?"

"None of your damn business." Even though she knew his logic was absurd, Willow couldn't be bothered to explain. She rolled her eyes at him without hesitation. "I'd actually like to ask you something. You clearly don't care about this marriage at all, so why are you clinging to it and refusing to let go?"

Why indeed? Truthfully, Julian didn't have an answer to that question right now. He was used to being the center of the universe, doing whatever he pleased, and always getting exactly what he wanted.

He thought about it for a second and threw out a random excuse. "Toby needs a mother in name."

"Vivienne could easily fill that role."

"You know her relationship with the Sinclair family."

"That's your problem. Before you went ahead with this, you should have figured out how to clean up the mess if your little scheme was ever exposed."

"Not getting divorced is my solution."

Willow was too tired to talk in circles with him and cut straight to the chase. "So, I take it our negotiations have broken down?"

"Whether they break down or not depends entirely on you."

"Then there's nothing left to say." Willow stood up abruptly. "Let me make this perfectly clear. Staying married to you is absolutely impossible."
