Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 282

"Is there a huge problem?" Julian echoed, his voice laced with disbelief. "Did you even read this? Can you really not tell if there's a problem?"

Vivienne hadn't read it. Even if she had, it would have looked like pure gibberish to her.

Facing his rising anger, she scrambled for an excuse. "The deadline was so tight. I didn't have time to review it thoroughly, I just skimmed it."

Julian was far from satisfied with that pathetic excuse. "Even if you didn't look closely this time, I distinctly remember you claiming you'd be actively involved in the research for this project. If you were truly involved, how could you miss data errors this catastrophic?"

He tapped the screen, pointing out specific data sets. "Look at this yourself. Does any of this make sense to you?"

Although Vivienne didn't understand the granular details, she grasped the broad concepts and general direction of the experiment. Seeing the numbers he was pointing at, her heart sank.

These weren't minor experimental margins of error. They were wildly, embarrassingly wrong. The entire foundational direction of the research was off.

"And look at this," Julian's finger slid down to the conclusion section. "If you told me they did this with their eyes open, I wouldn't believe you. Sinclair Group pays top dollar for talent—is this the level of competence we're getting?"

At this point, as much as Vivienne hated to admit it, she knew she had been played by Leo and his crew.
