Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 324

After leaving the summit, Willow and Silas didn't speak of the incident again. From Willow's perspective, the matter was closed, and she didn't want to dwell on it. For Silas, of course, it was far from over, but she didn't need to worry about the fallout; he would handle everything perfectly behind the scenes.

Assuming they were flying straight back to New York City, Willow asked him what time they were scheduled to depart.

But Silas replied that they weren't leaving today.

Willow quickly connected the dots. He was from Seattle, so he naturally planned to visit his family and stay a few extra days. "I'll go ahead and book my own flight back then," she offered.

Aside from wanting to see Leo Yardley and the team one last time before leaving, she had no other plans in the city.

"No need. You're staying for now too," Silas countered, shutting the idea down.

Now, Willow was genuinely confused. "Why? Do you have other work arrangements?"

He certainly had arrangements. Silas wanted to spend a few days exploring Seattle with her, but he wasn't quite sure how to casually suggest it. After a moment of thought, he tried a more subtle approach. "What do you think of Seattle?"

"It's great. Strong economy, wonderful weather, and plenty of career opportunities. It's a fantastic city," Willow replied honestly, unsure where he was going with this.

"Then how about staying a few more days to look around?" Silas seized the opening.

"I'd better not," Willow declined. "When I first moved to Seattle, I practically explored every corner of it. Besides, I have a mountain of work waiting for me. I can't really relax and play tourist with all that hanging over my head."
