Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 325

She was terrified that if Silas's parents were similarly difficult to please, the evening would be an absolute disaster.

Deciding to be upfront, she confessed, "I rarely interact with prominent families like yours. To be honest, I'm actually a bit intimidated. Especially when it comes to elders, I'm really worried I might do something wrong and offend them."

Silas didn't like how she created a divide between them, using words like 'yours' and 'mine'. To him, they were cut from the same cloth. However, he understood her fears—likely stemming from some unpleasant past experiences. But as long as he was by her side, he would never let anyone disrespect her.

"Don't worry. My family isn't full of complicated drama. You'll understand once you meet them. They might be a little different from what you expect, so I just hope you won't mind them too much."

Thinking about how his father utterly spoiled his mother into being wonderfully carefree, Silas actually worried that Willow might find them too informal.

"I won't," Willow said decisively. "Anyone who raised someone as good as you couldn't possibly be difficult."

"Do you really think so?" Silas teased lightly. "Then I hope you won't be too surprised later."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine."

"So, is that a yes?"

"I don't think I really have a choice, do I? We are on your turf, after all."

It was rare for her to joke, and Silas let out a soft laugh.

With the decision made, they agreed to return to the hotel to change before heading to his family's estate.

On the drive over, Willow remembered a crucial detail. It was her first time visiting his home, and showing up empty-handed was out of the question. But for a family of their stature, she had no idea what kind of gift would be appropriate.
