Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 331

Willow wanted to mention that Silas had prepared those gifts as well, and that she hadn't actually done anything. But recalling his earlier instructions, she swallowed the words.

After some back-and-forth, they finally agreed that Silas would hold onto the presents for now.

Willow breathed a quiet sigh of relief. With the items in his possession, it was as good as leaving them with his parents.

In the car ride back to the hotel, Silas turned to her. "My family can be a bit overwhelming. Please don't mind them if they made you uncomfortable in any way."

Willow thought he was overstating it. "You have a wonderfully normal family dynamic. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Honestly, I envy your relationship with them."

Silas didn't say anything, but his unwavering gaze told her he was listening intently.

Falling into a natural rhythm, Willow continued. "You've seen my mother. She's sick right now. As for my father..." She paused for a moment. "He's not worth mentioning."

An irresponsible alcoholic who never cared for his wife or child didn't warrant much discussion.

"Actually, they aren't my biological parents. To this day, I have no idea who my real parents are."

Silas had been listening quietly. At her confession, he reached out, gently smoothing her hair before his knuckles brushed lightly against her cheek. His voice was incredibly soft. "Do you want to find them? If you do, I can help."

"No." Willow shook her head. She had never met them and didn't know why they had abandoned her, but the abandonment was a fact. She had grown up under that lingering shadow.

She had faced everything alone, so she no longer harbored any deep obsession with the past. "I'll leave it up to fate."

"Okay," Silas agreed smoothly. "Your feelings come first. It's your life, and you have every right to choose how to handle it."
