Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 432

Silas felt a wave of helpless amusement, though his gaze was entirely indulgent. "Is that so?"

"Yes, you have to believe me!" Willow nodded frantically, terrified he might go back on his word.

The fever had left a rosy flush on her cheeks, giving her a luminous complexion. Her eyes were bright and sincere, brimming with an unfiltered determination. Yet, her slender frame looked so soft and small, exuding an endearing innocence that made his heart ache.

In that instant, all the frustration and anxiety Silas had harbored over the past few days were completely shattered by her clear, earnest gaze.

He reached out and gently brushed her cheek. "Alright, I believe you."

"Are you tired? Do you want to sleep for a bit?" Silas asked softly.

Willow shook her head. "Is there any soup left? I think I'd like another bowl."

"Wait here," Silas said, ruffling her hair.

He returned moments later with a fresh bowl, carefully blowing on it to cool it down before feeding it to her bite by bite.

After finishing her meal, a wave of exhaustion washed over Willow, and she soon drifted into a deep sleep.

Silas sat quietly by her side. Once her breathing steadied into a peaceful rhythm, he meticulously tucked the covers around her and quietly slipped out of the room.

Stepping into the hallway, he pulled out his phone. Moving with crisp, decisive efficiency, he dialed Arthur Vance.
