Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 447

"Alright, grab your things and follow me," the mayor said carefully, trying to outline the situation without offending them. "Before we go, I need to make a few things clear. The boy isn't home today. The parents just want to evaluate their options before making a decision. And given what's happened over the last few days, they probably won't be very welcoming. You need to prepare yourselves."

"No problem," Willow replied instantly. "We completely understand. Just lead the way."

"Alright, let's go."

With that, Willow and Leo grabbed their bags, ready to move.

The mayor looked at them, a little surprised. "Just the two of you?"

After all, Ms. Sinclair never went anywhere without a posse of at least five or six people.

Willow nodded. "Two is plenty. Like you said, they haven't agreed to the interview yet. Bringing a mob of people would be intrusive."

"You're not bringing anything else?" the mayor pressed.

"No, this is all we need," Willow assured him.

Mayor Henderson recalled how Vivienne's team always hauled a mountain of bulky equipment up the trail, acting like they were shooting a Hollywood documentary. These two were a breath of fresh air.

"But I do need to bring this," Willow added, tapping the large backpack she wore.

The mayor nodded and led them up the mountain path.

Along the way, Leo offered to carry the bag for her, but she declined.
