Tears streamed down her face as she begged in absolute terror. "Julian, you have to believe me! I didn't do it! I didn't steal her work, and I didn't impersonate WH! It was all a setup! Willow and Silas Thorne plotted against me to destroy the Sinclair Group! You have to believe me! Please!"
She looked up at his chiseled, unfeeling jaw. Her face was a mess of tears, stripped of all her pride as she groveled in the dirt.
But Julian just stared down at her, his eyes devoid of a single ounce of pity.
He wasn't stupid enough to deny the overwhelming evidence displayed in front of the entire world. And with the Sinclair Group facing an unprecedented crisis, he was absolutely not going to risk the family empire for her.
When he spoke, his voice was as freezing as a winter storm. "The evidence is absolute. The whole world knows. Stop your pathetic lying."
With a swift, ruthless motion, he yanked his leg free from her grasp. He delivered his final verdict without a shred of hesitation. "As of today, you are officially fired from the Sinclair Group. We have nothing to do with you. Whatever legal and academic consequences you face, you will face them alone."
With one sentence, he severed every tie between them. Without sparing her another glance, he turned and strode out of the room.
Vivienne froze, her blood running ice-cold.
She understood perfectly. Julian was throwing her to the wolves. He was making her the sole scapegoat to protect the company.
No! That couldn't happen!
