The moment Vivienne heard his voice, a deep frown creased her forehead. Her tone was sharp and devoid of emotion. "Cut the crap. I need you."
She rattled off her location, her voice slipping into its usual commanding arrogance. "Come pick me up right now."
The man on the other end let out a low, mocking laugh. "Vivienne, do you think it's still three years ago? Do I look like a dog that comes running the second you snap your fingers?"
Vivienne had zero patience for his games. She was running out of time. "What if I told you I didn't get rid of the baby? What if I told you I had your son?"
Dead silence fell over the line.
The man's lazy, arrogant breathing hitched. For five long seconds, even the wind seemed to stop. When he finally spoke, his voice was tight. "What did you say?"
Vivienne's eyes darkened as she repeated, "I gave birth to your son. He's three years old. Come get me, and I'll explain the rest."
"Got it," he finally replied. "Wait there."
As the call ended, Vivienne's mind drifted back to the past. If she had a choice, she would never have contacted this man again. But she had no options left. Three years ago, while studying abroad, a reckless fling resulted in a pregnancy. She had fully intended to quietly abort it, until she accidentally discovered Julian Sinclair's most guarded secret: he was permanently infertile.
That information changed everything.
