Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 161

Seraphina Shaw bit her lip, looking utterly wronged.

The elevator doors slid open.

Julian Lowell stepped out first.

Arthur Higgins, who had been waiting for a while, walked over to greet him. "Mr. Lowell."

Julian's expression was icy as he cut him off. "From now on, cut the financial support to the Shaw family."

Sylvia Shaw's face drained of color at his words. Sienna Shaw's eyes widened in sheer disbelief.

Weren't Julian and her sister supposed to be deeply in love? What was going on?

Seraphina lowered her head in humiliation.

Arthur paused for a second before grasping the situation. "Understood, Mr. Lowell. Will you be staying for their checkups today?"

Seraphina looked up with a glimmer of hope.

"No," Julian said coldly. "I have things to do. I'm leaving. You stay with them."

It seemed the Shaws had truly crossed the boss this time. Arthur nodded. "Understood."

Julian turned on his heel and strode away without so much as a glance in Seraphina's direction.

Seraphina's eyes welled with tears. He was actually abandoning her!

Sylvia, sensing the shift in the wind, panicked. "Sera, did you and Julian have a fight recently? Why would he..."

In the past, he would never have left Seraphina behind for Clara Vance. And he certainly wouldn't have cut their funding.

Sienna was equally frantic. "Exactly! Why is Julian acting like this? Doesn't he love you? If I didn't know better, I'd say he's fallen for Clara!"

That last sentence struck a nerve, and Seraphina's tears spilled over. Only the public setting kept her from throwing a complete tantrum.

Sylvia shot the girl a glare and gave her a sharp nudge.

Arthur watched the scene unfold in silence. He finally understood the entire dynamic, and even with his usually mild temper, he couldn't hold back a scoff.

"I don't know which eye of yours saw Mr. Lowell madly in love with Ms. Shaw, or which eye saw that he didn't care for Ms. Vance."

The words hit them like a freight train.

Seraphina stared at him in disbelief, her eyes red and puffy.

Sylvia and Sienna looked as if they'd been slapped. "Assistant Higgins, what are you saying? Julian used to adore Sera!"
