Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 162

Glancing around, she noticed the relaxed, cheerful atmosphere. Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves.

A genuine smile tugged at her lips, a rare spark of joy in what had been a suffocating few weeks.

When Julian arrived, this was the scene he walked into.

He saw her holding her popcorn and soda, her slender figure moving quietly through the lobby. She occasionally looked up at the movie posters, her soft hair cascading down her back, revealing a serene, almost innocent profile that tugged at his chest.

Julian's steps faltered. He couldn't help but stare for a few seconds, feeling an unfamiliar softness wash over him. The heavy, irritable mood that had plagued him all morning seemed to dissipate.

After a moment, he approached her and called out softly, "Clara."

Clara froze. The smile vanished from her face instantly. She turned to look at him with cold detachment. "What are you doing here?"

Shouldn't he be at the hospital with Seraphina and her family?

Was he done playing the devoted partner so quickly?

Catching the underlying anger in her tone, Julian offered a rare explanation. "Clara, I didn't just go to the hospital for them today. I..."

"Julian!"

Clara's expression hardened. She had absolutely no interest in hearing his excuses.

Besides, they were in a crowded movie theater. If someone recognized him, snapped a picture, and posted it online, Isabella Gates would find out, and Clara would be the one bearing the brunt of the woman's wrath.

"Stop talking," she said, trying to keep her voice level. "There are people everywhere. It's not a good look if we're seen making a scene."

Julian paused. Seeing her lowered gaze and clear reluctance, he glanced around the lobby and decided not to push the issue.

His eyes then fell on the snacks in her arms. A thought struck him, and he leaned in, his voice dropping an octave. "Are you seeing a movie? I'll watch it with you."

Clara blinked in sheer astonishment. She never expected him to willingly participate in such a mundane, couple-like activity.
