Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 176

Clara's face flushed crimson with absolute fury. Pinned against him, she thrashed helplessly like a fish out of water.

"You're a psycho, Julian! Get off me!"

Julian let out a soft scoff, slipping her phone back into her purse.

But instead of releasing her, his arm tightened. Holding her felt inexplicably right, a primal reaction he didn't even realize he was indulging in.

Clara felt utterly humiliated, fighting the urge to bite the arm strapped around her waist.

Thankfully, the sharp ring of Julian's phone shattered the tension.

Annoyed by the interruption, Julian frowned and used his free hand to retrieve his phone.

Clara seized the moment, shoving him away and sliding to the far end of the leather seat. She smoothed her hair and aggressively brushed off her sleeves, acting as if his touch had contaminated her.

Julian caught the gesture. The faint trace of amusement on his face vanished, replaced by a dark, freezing glare.

She found him repulsive?

Just a few days ago, she was the one constantly clinging to him.

His phone kept ringing.

Julian answered with a lethal tone. "What."

"Where are you, Julian?" It was Jasper Whitmore, one of the wealthy trust fund heirs in their inner circle.

Julian kept his dark eyes locked on Clara. Irritated, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it. "Get to the point."

"Beatrice Hamilton just flew back into town. She's throwing a massive welcome-back party at The Sovereign Lounge. Come show your face."

Beatrice Hamilton.

The heiress of the Hamilton family.

The woman Isabella desperately wanted as a daughter-in-law.

Clara's eyebrow twitched upward, a genuine wave of relief washing over her. If Julian hooked up with Beatrice, she would finally be entirely free, and Seraphina Shaw's ambitions would be crushed in one swoop.

Julian couldn't read her mind, but seeing that faint smile form on her lips made his chest tight with irrational anger.
