Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 184

Dominic frowned, his features shadowed with gloom.

He was just about to tell him to go away.

Toby continued, "Zane Sutton, Rosalie's husband, is here looking for you. He says he has something he needs to tell you..."

Dominic paused. After a moment, he sat up, stubbed out his cigarette, and said deeply, "Come in."

"Right away."

The next second, the door slowly pushed open.

Toby led Zane inside.

It was Zane's first time in the CEO's office. Taking in the grandiose decor and the expensive porcelain on the shelves, his heart rate instantly spiked.

If they just gave him one of those pieces, wouldn't he be rich?

Zane's beady eyes darted around as he mentally calculated the value...

Toby brought him to the front of the desk and said, "Didn't you just say you had something regarding Clara to tell Mr. Jarrett? Spit it out."

Clara?

Dominic's eyes darkened as he looked at Zane.

"What about Clara?"

Zane met his gaze for a split second, and the suffocating pressure radiating from the man instantly made him feel like he was standing on needles.

Guilty conscience getting the better of him, he shrank his shoulders, not daring to hold eye contact for another second, and quickly lowered his head.

"There are some details... I didn't make clear to you last time, Mr. Jarrett..."

"I was too nervous back then. I was terrified of saying the wrong thing and offending you, so I didn't tell the whole story. I've been thinking about it these past few days, and the more I thought, the worse I felt. I realized I had to come clean to you..."

Dominic saw right through his act. His expression was completely detached as he crossed one leg over the other, leaned back in his chair, and lit another cigarette.

Seeing this, Toby frowned and gave Zane a shove, warning, "Get to the point."

Zane's heart skipped a beat. Glancing up to see Dominic's patience wearing thin, a layer of nervous sweat broke out across his forehead.
