Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 185

Fortunately, Dominic finally spoke. "Alright, I understand. You can go."

Zane felt like he had been granted a pardon. He broke into a wide grin and said, "Great. Mr. Jarrett, if you ever need anything else, just find me. I'll get out of your hair now."

With that, he turned and practically bolted.

He was completely oblivious to the deeply calculating stare lingering on his back...

The door slowly clicked shut.

Dominic pulled his gaze away, his face turning freezing cold.

Toby stepped forward, looking utterly bewildered.

"Mr. Jarrett, I don't think this Zane Sutton is reliable. He changes his story every five minutes. Last time he claimed he didn't know anything, and today he suddenly knows everything. He's obviously just trying to suck up to you."

Dominic didn't jump to conclusions.

He stared at the two mismatched medical reports on his desk, his expression impossible to read.

After a long while, he muttered, "Whether he's reliable or not, a quick background check will tell us."

If it was a lie, it only cost them a little effort.

But if it was true...

Dominic's eyes darkened.

Toby caught on immediately. "Understood. I'll have someone look into it right away."

Dominic gave a hum of agreement. "Also, put a tail on Zane."

"Got it." Toby nodded, turning to leave, but just as he reached the door, he remembered something and doubled back, calling out hesitantly, "Mr. Jarrett..."

Dominic was flipping over a report page. Hearing this, he looked up at him. "What is it?"

Toby said reluctantly, "The chairman couldn't get through to your phone, so he called mine. He told me to tell you that you must return to Somerset within three days."

Dominic's face instantly plummeted into a stormy scowl.

Sweating bullets, Toby didn't dare linger for another second and hastily fled the office.

The door opened and closed, letting in a draft from the hallway.

Dominic's expression was icy. In the end, he didn't call the chairman back, instead keeping his eyes glued to those two test reports...

Even though three tests had already failed.
