See? Whether he loves someone or not is so clear. He fears something might happen to Seraphina, but he isn't afraid of anything happening to Clara.
Clara let out a bitter laugh. By the time she looked back at the phone screen, the call had already ended. She took a deep breath, silently processing her emotions. Once she felt a little better, she left the spot and went back to the room to inform her sister.
"You haven't even had lunch yet, and you have to leave. Sigh, be careful on your way," Rosalie urged with concern.
Clara agreed. Before leaving, remembering something, she added, "I have time these next few days. I'll pick up Miles." She didn't trust leaving the boy with Zane Sutton.
"Okay, if you have time, you go pick him up."
"Mm." Clara turned toward the door.
"Clara!" Rosalie suddenly called out to her.
"What's wrong?" Clara looked back, puzzled.
Rosalie pursed her lips. "Just now, that man who came to see you... what did he say? About the ring..."
"He didn't really say much. He's a business partner of my company. I'm not very familiar with him."
"I see. Okay." Rosalie let out a quiet sigh of relief and advised, "I don't think he's a simple person. Keep your distance from him in the future."
Clara assumed her sister had been intimidated by Dominic's overwhelming presence today, so she smiled and agreed, "Okay." Even if her sister hadn't said anything, she would consciously keep her distance from Dominic anyway. "I'm off. Make sure you rest. Call me if you need anything."

On her way, Clara received a message from Julian saying he had arranged for someone to wait for her in the parking lot. So, once she got out of the car, the person led her directly through the club's back entrance.
"Ms. Vance, Mr. Lowell and Ms. Shaw are in VIP room 102."
"Alright..." Clara nodded. She walked to the door and pushed it open. At a glance, she saw Julian half-kneeling in front of Seraphina, gently coaxing her. A wave of nausea hit Clara's chest; it felt awful.
Hearing the noise, Julian turned to look. Carrying a degree of guilt, his tone was quite gentle. "You're here..."
