Chapter 4
I stepped away to use the restroom nearby.
When I came back to find Pamela, I heard her on the phone.
“Bro, go have your fun with Leila! Make all the babies you want!”
“You’re into her wild side, right? And Mom? Haha, she’s been dying to dump that loser anyway!”
My smile vanished. I turned around immediately.
Before I even reached the door, I heard Leila’s moan.
Eleanor had left too, giving them space to “play.”
I stumbled backward, ripped off my wedding ring, and threw it on the ground.
This time, Nathan didn’t call me. Didn’t even notice I was gone.
He was too lost in his so-called love.
His whole family had been lying to me. Playing me.
I couldn’t take it anymore.
Right there, I called my father and told him to cut off all support for Pamela.
Without our connections-without me-she was NOTHING.
By morning, Nathan still hadn’t called.
Today was the day we’d end this.
I signed the divorce papers and left them on the bed.
Just as I was about to walk out, Nathan rushed back in a panic.
“Babe! Why didn’t you tell me you were leaving? I was worried!”
“Did Mom say something again? Don’t take it to heart. We just need to focus on us.”
He walked over and wrapped his arms around me.
But all I could think was-
There is no “us” anymore.
I was about to tell him everything when his phone rang.
He answered, grinned, and grabbed my hand.
“Come on, babe. My buddies want us to meet up.”

Chapter 4
At the restaurant, his best friend Mateo walked over with a smirk.
“Well. Look at you, Nathan. Getting so much action lately you forgot about your boys, huh?”
His friends burst out laughing.
They looked at me with a mix of pity and mockery.
My hands tightened under the table.
A voice in my head whispered-
“You’re leaving anyway. Just get through one more day. End it cleanly.”
But the second we sat down, they switched to Italian and started joking openly about his affairs.
They thought I wouldn’t understand.
“Damn, dude. I thought you just sucked at driving. Turns out you were faking it so you could screw around.”
“Tsk tsk. And Xenia never suspected a thing? What an idiot.”
“Bro, was fucking in the car really that good? You can’t let it go, huh?”
“HAHAHA!”
Nathan laughed. Hard.
“Hell yeah. It was Leila’s idea.”
“She said since my wife’s a traffic cop, we should park illegally and see if she’d catch us.”
“The thrill of it-you guys wouldn’t get it.”
“But my wife never caught me once!”
I shot to my feet.
I couldn’t listen to another word.
They flinched. Like they suddenly realized I might understand.
But I didn’t say anything, just grabbed my bag and walked out.
Nathan didn’t even try to stop me.
Didn’t give me the courtesy of a clean ending.
Outside, a Rolls-Royce was waiting for me.
Before I left, I called Rachel.
“Hey. Can you do me a favor?”
“Come by my place tonight. I left a gift for Nathan. Just give it to him for me.”

Rachel was thrilled.
“Wait, seriously?! You’re finally letting me meet your husband?!”
Goodbye to all of it.
That night, Rachel showed up at my apartment with the gift box.
Nathan opened the door.
“Babe, where the hell did you go? I tried calling-you scared the shit out of me!”
He stopped.
Because standing in front of him was Rachel, smiling.
“Brother-in-law… ?!”
In that instant, they both froze.
