Chapter 5
“You… you…”
Rachel pointed at Nathan, stammering, unable to finish her sentence.
Nathan was the same. His eyes-usually so charming-were now filled with panic.
“How the hell did you find my place?!”
“Your place? This is YOUR place?”
Rachel’s vision went dark. Rage shot through her like a bullet.
She’d been busting Nathan and some woman screwing in illegally parked cars for months.
And now she was supposed to believe this guy-this cheating piece of shit-was her best friend’s husband?
“Yeah. This is my place.”
“Now get the hell out. I’m not parked illegally anymore. Leave!”
Nathan was terrified I’d come home and see Rachel.
If I asked why she was here, everything would come out.
He didn’t want to lose me.
Even though he loved cheating, Leila wasn’t wife material.
Rachel’s face turned ice cold.
“Leave? Xenia told me to bring you a gift.”
Nathan’s whole body jerked. He stared at Rachel, eyes wide.
“What? What did you just say?”
Rachel shoved him off, her voice dripping with venom.
“Xenia is my coworker. We’re CLOSE.”
Nathan stumbled backward, his heart pounding out of his chest.
The traffic cop who kept busting him and Leila-his wife’s best friend.
“No. No way. If you were really her friend, she would’ve told me.”
“You’re lying. You just don’t like me and want to ruin my life.”
Rachel let out a bitter laugh.
“The only one who ruined your life is YOU.”

She pulled out her phone, opened her gallery, and shoved it in front of him.
“Look. Me and Xenia. Your WIFE. Best friends.”
Nathan froze. Completely speechless.
If Rachel told me everything, he was finished.
“Rachel… Rachel, please…”
His tone shifted. From defensive to desperate.
He grabbed her arm, eyes turning red, voice cracking.
“I know I messed up. I know.”
“But I love Xenia. I really do. Please-PLEASE-don’t tell her. I’m begging you.”
“I can’t lose her. She’s the only one who truly loves me!”
Rachel just sneered.
“If she treats you that well, then why the fuck did you cheat on her?”
