Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 145

Instead, Tristan spoke up. "We'll see what the doctor says after her evaluation."

She pressed her lips together and looked at him.

Having kids wasn't part of their marriage contract. Did he actually want one?

That wasn't why she was here today.

Seizing the opening, she said, "Belinda, I'd actually like to focus on my career for another two years. In fact, I've already applied through Mr. Wyndham for a study abroad program. It's not a long trip—less than six months."

Tristan cast a sideways glance at her, his eyes freezing cold.

Her palms grew sweaty under his stare, but she pretended not to notice.

She had to leave. She was already five months along.

Her winter clothes hid the slight bump perfectly, but once spring rolled around and she started showing more, there would be no hiding it.

Belinda frowned. She didn't actually oppose Nova improving herself—in fact, she was proud of her drive—but, "Going abroad for six months right now? You haven't even fully recovered..."

"It's just a passing whim of hers," Tristan cut in. "Don't pay it any mind."

With one sentence, he completely crushed her attempt.

Her fingers slowly curled into tight fists as Belinda nodded in agreement. "Right. Let's focus on getting you healthy first. Once you're fully recovered, you can figure out what you want to study. I'll personally fund your studies abroad. I don't care if it's an Ivy League school, I will pave the way for you. But right now, your health is the priority. Even the baby plans can wait."

"Right, Lawrence?" she asked, looking at Nova's father.

He had been quietly watching his daughter this whole time. Put on the spot, he simply smiled and said nothing.

He just kept staring at his daughter, who remained practically glued to Tristan's side.

Nova offered a polite smile and didn't push the issue.
