Their father had cheated, so they both deeply despised homewreckers.
Stephen frowned. "Who is Mr. Forrester's actual wife?"
Chloe hadn't expected her brother to skip right past asking if the rumor was true and go straight for the core detail.
She shook her head. "They're secretly married. I don't want to leak anything. My lips are sealed."
Right then, a message from Yvette popped up on the phone: "Hello, Mr. Zimmerman. If you haven't finalized your partnership with CN Dynamics yet, please hold off. There is something very important I need to discuss with you in person."
Stephen read it but didn't reply.
Once Chloe got back, she immediately told Nova about the message.
Nova was currently looking at a text from Belinda, instructing her to come back to the estate for dinner with Tristan that night.
Hearing Chloe's update, Nova instantly realized Yvette was trying to pull the same trick she'd used on Caspian. But based on their earlier negotiations, Nova knew Stephen was a man with his own mind. He wouldn't be easily led around by the nose.
So, Nova wasn't worried.
Samuel couldn't care less about Yvette either.
Meanwhile, Yvette knew Caspian had gone to confront Samuel about firing Nova. Since Stephen hadn't replied for a long time, she assumed he was just busy.
She planned to set up a time to fully explain the situation with Nova and Samuel to him.
But that evening, at the Regent's Spire, she unexpectedly ran into Stephen.
Since Tristan hadn't arrived yet, Yvette walked right up to him. "Mr. Zimmerman, what a coincidence. What brings you here?"
Stephen's expression remained neutral, his eyes slightly lowered. "Ms. Sellers. It is a coincidence."
