Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 216

Nova had made several revisions to the Divorce Agreement.

It now included clauses strictly prohibiting any form of threats or coercion.

Beyond the initial assets Tristan had offered, Nova demanded a few more real estate properties. She also added a stipulation that Tristan could not interfere with her work. Aside from upholding the public façade of their marriage, she would have absolute control and autonomy over her personal affairs.

Tristan skimmed the first page without comment and simply asked her for a pen.

Nova's heart hammered against her ribs, but she kept her face perfectly neutral as she handed it over.

She watched him sign his name and press his thumbprint onto the first page.

As he prepared to flip to the next page, Nova quietly stepped closer, pointing to a specific section. "This requires your promise not to interfere with my private life, career, or social circle, and not to displace your anger onto me arbitrarily. It also states that all funds and shares given to me are voluntary gifts, and that I will personally cover all my living expenses during our remaining time married."

"This is just to prevent any financial disputes between us when we finally finalize the divorce."

Tristan didn't care about the money, but he didn't sign immediately. "I only require what I asked for initially. What you did before, you will continue to do. Can you commit to that?"

She knew exactly what he meant.

Playing the part of the loving couple in front of the Forrester family, calling him "Honey," and maintaining an illusion of intimacy.

But considering he had Yvette, she highly doubted she'd actually have to fulfill any real marital obligations.

Compared to protecting Latonia, playing a role was nothing.

She nodded. "Yes, I agree."

This time, Tristan didn't even read the page. He just signed and pressed his thumbprint exactly where she pointed.

As she watched his finger lower toward the very last page—the Severance of Ties Certificate concerning Latonia—Nova's heart leaped into her throat!

Noticing her sudden tension, he asked, "What's wrong?"

Quickly gathering the signed pages, she replied, "I just think it's surprising you'd sign so directly without thoroughly reading it."

Tristan set the pen down on the desk. "I'd assume Mrs. Forrester doesn't have the guts to trick me into signing something I shouldn't."

Nova shuddered internally.

Raising an eyebrow, Tristan took the entire packet of agreements back from her hands.

The gesture almost sent Nova into a panic attack.

He was actually reading through the remaining pages.

The first few pages were just a smokescreen. Only the final two—the Relinquishment of Parental Rights and the Severance of Ties Certificate—were what truly mattered.

Her only gamble had been on his apathy.

If he actually flipped to those final two pages... she would snatch them away without hesitation. Even if it made him suspicious, she had to destroy them immediately!
