Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 244

"Tristan?"

From wherever he was, Tristan closed a car door before speaking. "Regarding the Clayton family's cruise gala next week—if your injury is acting up and it's inconvenient for you to attend, I can cancel it for you?"

Yvette was surprised he wasn't calling about the failed business deal.

"I want to go..."

She still had the Pearce Medical partnership in her hands. She wanted to execute that project perfectly and prove herself.

So, she took the initiative to tell Tristan about the situation with CN Dynamics, making sure to sound suitably victimized by the end:

"CN Dynamics said we had three days to produce the model. But for some reason, Mr. Zimmerman suddenly sent me a termination notice. Tristan, do you know why this happened? If I somehow offended Mr. Zimmerman, I can apologize to him!"

Tristan replied calmly, "It's just one business deal. Don't take it to heart."

Comforted by his words, Yvette felt a little better, though the sting of knowing Nova ruined her project lingered...

She didn't want to blatantly badmouth Nova in front of Tristan, so she pivoted. "I want to see if I can find potential business partners at the Clayton family's gala. I can do this, Tristan."

Tristan didn't shoot down her ambition. "Your technical skills are solid; you just lack real-world experience. How about I arrange the partnerships for you?"

This time, Yvette didn't refuse.

If Tristan was the one making the arrangements, Nova would have absolutely zero power to sabotage her.

"Okay, thank you, Tristan!" she said sweetly.

After hanging up, Yvette contacted Caspian Caldwell, asking him to go talk some sense into Samuel Wyndham.

Caspian replied immediately, saying he was also invited to the Clayton gala and would speak with Samuel there.

With that settled, Yvette finally relaxed.

She just wondered if Stephen Zimmerman had also been bewitched by Nova's new look to treat her so coldly.
