Nova didn't say a word. She drank it straight down. The moment she finished, Tristan unwrapped a candy and offered it to her.

Tristan simply smiled, handing the empty wrapper to a maid to throw away.

"I'll go check on her."

Belinda nodded in satisfaction. "Go coax her, treat her well. Nova is looking so beautiful these days. Don't tell me you aren't moved?"

Upstairs, Nova answered a call from the divorce lawyer.

The man Samuel had recommended was named Julian Stratford. He was affiliated with the Wyndham family's main corporation and specialized in commercial litigation, but since Samuel had asked, he had accepted the case without hesitation.

Hearing him ask about her availability, Nova paused. "I might not have time this weekend. Does Monday work? Just review the agreement for me, and I'd like to entrust you with full authority over my divorce."

This way, she wouldn't have to deal with Tristan directly.

Julian agreed. Nova hung up, and as she turned around, she saw Tristan standing by the sofa.
