Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 269

Nova pressed her lips together, just about to refuse, when the front doors of the estate swung open.

Felipa walked out with a bright smile. "Oh, look at you two lovebirds. Your grandmother and I have been watching you from the window for ages. Whatever you have to say, can't you say it inside? Do you really have to stand out here holding hands?"

Only then did Nova realize Tristan was still holding her hand.

She tried to pull away, but remembering his earlier demands, she forced herself to stay still. Her body was stiff, and she was entirely unsure of what to say.

Thankfully, Tristan handled it smoothly, leaving Felipa thoroughly pleased.

"Nova, dear, how have you been feeling? Tristan mentioned you've been incredibly busy!"

Felipa was extremely satisfied with Nova now.

She was beautiful, poised, and for some reason, her entire aura had completely transformed. She exuded an effortless grace that many men and women who had spent decades in high society couldn't emulate!

She was an absolute pride to be seen with!

Felipa smugly credited herself for this makeover. While Nova might lack Yvette's specific professional connections, her appearance was a striking, undeniable beauty.

As Felipa stared at her with bright, expectant eyes, Nova found herself physically unable to say the word "Mom."

Tristan stepped slightly in front of her, shielding half her body. As he smoothed her hair down her back, he said quietly, "Just call her 'Mom'. It won't glue your lips shut, and it won't hurt you."

Nova didn't check his expression.

When he turned back around, her posture relaxed slightly. Meeting Felipa's probing gaze, she finally managed, "Thank you, Mom."

Felipa beamed with obvious delight, though she couldn't resist a gentle scolding. "Finally willing to say it, huh? You're so young, yet you hold such a grudge. Everyone makes mistakes. Are you going to give yourself a death sentence if you ever make one?"

Nova didn't know how to respond.
