Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 30

As she spoke, Yvette assertively punched a phone number into her screen and handed the device to Nova, making the decision for her.

Nova stared at the string of digits, her lips pressed into a thin line, and took the phone...

Yvette offered a gracious smile, but before she could say another word, the smile froze on her face.

Nova deleted the number and slammed the phone heavily onto the desk. "Ms. Sellers, people who commit crimes need to be punished. Yasmin damaged my property and framed me. If you feel so bad for her, why don't you go take her place in that cell?"

She paused for a beat. "Though I'm not entirely sure if the police handle cases of severe moral bankruptcy."

Her words were a direct, undeniable shot at Yvette for being a homewrecker stepping into a marriage.

Kieran immediately jumped to Yvette's defense. "She finally manipulated her way into the Executive Assistant role just to get closer to Tristan. Obviously, she won't let Yasmin come back to take her spot! This woman is nothing but a calculating snake; this whole thing is just a pathetic ploy to get Tristan's attention!"

"Your mouth is just as filthy as ever. If you're willing to go to jail in Yasmin's place, then I'll agree to a private settlement." Nova didn't give Kieran an ounce of respect.

In the past, out of her deep love for Tristan, she had treated Kieran and the rest of Tristan's inner circle with nothing but politeness and grace.

Even though they had never once respected her.

Now, she had zero reason to indulge them, especially not Kieran and his toxic mouth!

Furious, Kieran stepped forward, ready to escalate things.

But Yvette held him back. She smiled with feigned indifference, putting on a magnanimous show right in front of Nova.

"It just proves I have great taste in men. A man like mine naturally attracts a lot of desperate women, but at the end of the day, his heart belongs only to me. That makes me quite happy. But..."

She looked at Nova, her smile fading into a look of absolute pity. "Ms. Clarke, watching you demean yourself by fighting with other women over a man is just incredibly sad. Truly. If you don't want to drop the charges, then don't. Just pretend I never brought it up."

Nova genuinely wanted to ask how Yvette managed to act so incredibly high and mighty.

"Don't be angry, Tristan, I don't mind at all! I actually came all the way over here to bring you takeout from the Regent's Spire. I wanted to thank you for setting up this incredible banquet for me and inviting so many elite connections. My entry into CN Dynamics is practically guaranteed now! But I haven't heard back from Professor Mathew Sherwin yet, even though Abdul said he would invite him for me..."

Nova couldn't stand being there a second longer!

But Yvette's words still pierced through the air, hitting her ears.

Only then did Nova realize the truth. The Forrester family banquets were historically strictly family-only. The reason they were making such a massive spectacle this year and inviting so many outsiders was that Tristan was actively paving the way for Yvette's future.

The entire Forrester family adored Yvette.

No wonder Yvette was so confident, completely devoid of any shame about being the other woman.

Nova instinctively reached down to touch her stomach, only to remember the agonizing truth: her twins with Tristan were already gone.
