Kieran gritted his teeth. "You—!"

The sudden male voice made Kieran instantly drop the fury from his face and look over.

Chuck Clayton walked up, his expression unreadable. He shot a glance at Nova. "Tristan called for you. It looked like it was about work."

Nova looked at Chuck. She wasn't an idiot; she knew he was stepping in to defuse the situation for her.

She hadn't thanked him for covering for her regarding Latonia, mostly because she was still paranoid he might leak the secret.

Even though Chuck was the man she had saved all those years ago, and even though he had repeatedly promised to keep quiet, Nova still didn't fully trust him.

"Work?" Kieran scoffed mockingly:

"With her lack of skills, what kind of work could Tristan possibly have for her? Unless she managed to completely screw up a project?"

Nova turned, glaring at Kieran with a deep frown.

Kieran laughed coldly. "Since you're so ungrateful, I might as well tell you the truth!"

"Kieran!" Chuck warned sharply.

Kieran completely ignored him. "If I don't tell her, she's actually going to walk around thinking Tristan transferred her here because he respects her abilities!"

Nova's expression turned frigid. "What are you talking about?"

Ignoring Chuck's attempt to stop him, Kieran sneered:

"You've been targeting Yvette over and over again. You even spread so many rumors that Professor Mathew refused to take her on as a student! Tristan knows that if he ordered Samuel to fire you, Samuel would just defend you and refuse. So, he intentionally transferred you here to legally blacklist you from the entire industry! When the time comes, a blind fool like Samuel will be dragged down with you, and CN Dynamics' stock is going to absolutely plummet!"

Nova's face was dead serious as she looked at Chuck.
