Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 60

Yvette merely offered a graceful smile, acting as if the outcome was already a foregone conclusion.

Looking toward Belinda, Chuck spoke with practiced respect. "Belinda, you've witnessed Yvette's success firsthand today. Why don't you join us for a celebratory dinner? Consider it sharing in the younger generation's joy."

Belinda's expression was grim.

Having listened to the entire negotiation, she knew it was practically guaranteed the government would select Yvette.

But if she agreed to dinner, it would mean officially endorsing this woman and breaking Nova's heart!

She wasn't that senile!

Ignoring him completely, Belinda grabbed Nova's hand and stood up. "Tell me whatever you want today, Nova. Gold, diamonds, jade—I'll buy it all for you."

Something clicked in Nova's mind. "There is one favor I'd like to ask of you, Belinda."

Since Belinda had the power to get her resignation approved with a single sentence, she likely had the power to finalize her divorce just as easily.

Tristan respected his grandmother too much to openly defy her.

Given how guilty Belinda felt at this moment, she didn't hesitate. "Done! No matter how difficult it is, I will make it happen. Money is no object!"

Yvette and the others heard every word loud and clear.

Naturally, they all assumed Nova was going to beg Belinda to force Tristan to stay with her and secure her position as the Forrester matriarch.

"Has Belinda lost her mind? Did this woman put a hex on her or something?!" Kieran blurted out, echoing exactly what everyone else was thinking.

Chuck stayed silent, already planning to report every detail of this farce to Tristan later.

Yvette's face cooled. "It's fine. Time reveals all truths. Eventually, Belinda will see exactly what kind of person she is."

Right as she spoke, Tobias returned with his team.

Quickly recovering her radiant smile, Yvette stepped forward, extending her hand to finalize the agreement.

But Tobias didn't reach out. Instead, he offered a painfully polite smile. "My apologies, but we will not be moving forward with Ms. Sellers for Project Revelation."

Those words instantly smoothed the tension between Yvette's brows.

Every industry was highly competitive. What Kieran said made perfect sense.

Remaining silent, Chuck tacitly agreed with Kieran's assessment and immediately called Tristan.

"I bet this Aro was terrified of Yvette's brilliance. She clearly felt threatened. We've seen enough dirty politics in academia to know how this works."

The phone was on speaker.

Yvette's heart fluttered as Tristan's deep voice came through the line. "Understood. Leave it to me."

A sweet wave of relief washed over her, making her feel completely secure.

But Chuck wasn't in a hurry to hang up.

"There's one more thing. I really think you need to put a leash on Nova. She was utterly despicable today! You have no idea what she tried to pull..."
