Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 83

Yvette stared in sheer disbelief. She was being reprimanded in front of everyone, and Samuel wasn't even stepping in to stop it.

He was letting Nova run the entire show.

Kieran's face darkened. "Do you really think you're somebody? Don't you know who you're dealing with? He wants you fired so you don't ruin the project and force someone else to clean up your mess!"

Nova didn't blink. "You're not a partner in this deal either. The only reason you haven't been thrown out is out of respect for Mr. Forrester and Mr. Clayton. My qualifications aren't up to you, but the fact that you're running your mouth at a negotiation table shows a severe lack of professionalism and basic character."

Without giving anyone a chance to argue, she turned back to Tristan, her tone strictly business. "If Mr. Forrester and Mr. Clayton still wish to discuss the partnership, please clear the room of unauthorized personnel."

Samuel practically wanted to give her a standing ovation!

This was the Nova he knew—decisive, sharp, and ruthlessly impartial when it came to business.

Since he wasn't interrupting, her words officially represented his stance.

If Tristan wanted to claim Yvette as his girlfriend, then he could keep her in the room. Otherwise, she had to go.

The atmosphere in the private room turned deadlocked.

Yvette hadn't expected Nova to be so brazen. But then again, knowing how insanely jealous Nova was—shadowing her every move, copying everything she did like a desperate copycat—it all made sense.

Inferiority made people act wildly inappropriately.

Without arguing, Yvette glanced at Tristan. Seeing his impassive expression, she knew he didn't care about Nova's demands.

She offered a sweet smile. "Should Kieran and I wait for you outside?"

Tristan looked away from Nova. "No need."

He stood up. "If we can't reach an agreement, we're done here."

Nova froze, watching as he walked out without a backward glance, the rest of his entourage following suit.

The realization hit her hard. It was because she had insulted Yvette. He was worried that if he partnered with CN Dynamics, she would use her position to make Yvette's life miserable, so he abandoned the entire deal.

He threw away a massive contract just for her...

He suspected Tristan's feelings were far more complicated than they seemed.

It wasn't quite love, and it wasn't exactly hate, but his body's instinct to protect her was undeniable...

He couldn't figure it out either.

"I'm going to the restroom," she announced, standing up. She had drank too much water, and lately, she needed to go frequently.

Samuel nodded, his gaze lingering thoughtfully on her stomach.

When she stepped out of the restroom, she ran straight into Tristan.

During the negotiations earlier, when she was firing off those demands, she had actually been terrified.

While washing her hands just now, she realized her palms were sweating. And now, running into him alone...

Pretending not to see him, she kept her head down and tried to walk past.
