Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 95

When the chaos settled, Nova watched as Tristan lifted Yvette into his arms.

Yvette's voice trembled as she stared at her bleeding hand, choking back sobs. "Tristan, is my hand ruined? Will I never be able to run experiments or do data analysis again?"

Cradling her, Tristan strode rapidly toward the exit.

"No, you won't." His voice was resolute, filled with absolute reassurance.

Nova stood near the doorway, covered in dirt and grime. Nobody even noticed that she had just clawed her way up from the pile of collapsed materials.

As Tristan approached and saw her blocking the path, he barked fiercely, "Move!"

Nova tried to step aside, but a sharp, agonizing pain shot up her leg, preventing her from dodging in time.

Tristan pushed past, colliding hard into her. The impact sent her crashing down directly onto a bed of jagged debris.

Piercing agony flared. Her hands were instantly slick with blood.

These were the hands she used for experiments, for running research—they were impossibly precious to her...

Fighting through the blinding pain, Nova instinctively looked up, just as Tristan glanced back over his shoulder at her.

Moments earlier, when danger first struck, he had shoved her away.

Now, Nova wondered if he would stop.

Even if it was just for the imaginary child in her womb.

Even if it was just to be able to give Belinda an explanation.

Would he?

No.

Tristan simply looked back, dropped a cold "Keep up," and then immediately withdrew his gaze, carrying Yvette out and leaving completely.

Nova's eyes filled with a barren desolation. She didn't actually care, but it forcefully highlighted a stark reality.

Because Belinda had raised Tristan, he deeply respected her and generally adhered to her wishes.

But when it came to Yvette, Tristan placed her above everything else.
