Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 139

Chapter 139 Meet Nancy and Her Mother

With the key evidence found, the police ordered another autopsy on the finance chief.

The online buzz was overwhelming. The police chief, who was on friendly terms with Brandon, quickly announced the preliminary results.

The finance chief’s death was confirmed as murder, and the so-called suicide note was probably written under pressure. The initial investigation showed no proof that Levy Group was smuggling microchips.

Brandon made his move, and Levy Group’s stock shot up.

It felt like everything was finally back to normal.

Brianna was busy preparing for the launch of the high-end line. She flew to the south to select raw gemstones, and after more than ten days on the road, it was already late September when she returned.

The Mid-Autumn Festival was just around the corner, and it was also Josefina’s birthday. The Levy family was probably bustling with activity.

The collaboration with Tevanni had been a huge success, and several top luxury brands had reached out to work with her.

But with the couture line keeping her so busy, she had to turn them all down.

Brianna was too exhausted to look after the kids, so she went back to her own villa,

That day, she was in a meeting at the office, discussing whether to host the new couture collection launch event in Port City or Seavale.

Everyone had their own opinions and arguments. Brianna was just as torn.

While they were still debating, her assistant slipped into the room, leaned in, and whispered a few words in her ear.

Brianna frowned, then stood up and walked out of the meeting room.

Why is Margo here?’ She wondered.

When Brianna opened the office door, she found Margo sitting comfortably on the couch, legs crossed, carefully studying a Horizon Group product brochure.

Brianna and Margo never really got along. Thanks to all the drama with Darcy, Margo had given Brianna a hard time more than once, and now they were basically strangers.

Brianna walked into the office and asked, her voice neutral, “What brings you here?”

Meanwhile, she told her assistant to make some coffee for Margo.

“A friend of mine is hosting a grand anniversary celebration for her chain of beauty salons. She wants to commission a batch of meaningful, exclusive jewelry for her VIP members that make a statement and have a story behind them. You were the first person who came to mind. Interested?” Margo said.

She curved her lips in a relaxed smile, took out a cigarette and lit it, then leaned back comfortably as she waited for Brianna’s response.

“This is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Margo definitely isn’t here with good intentions, Brianna thought.

“Jewelry with a story?” Brianna snorted, joking, “So, are you planning to have your VIPs wear pieces that say the mistress takes over’ or ‘the wife gets kicked out? Or maybe bedazzle something with diamonds to commemorate the sugar daddy

With that, she linked arms with Brianna, ready to move on.

“Mrs. Levy,” Megan was the first to speak, her voice soft and almost syrupy. “It’s rare we bump into each other like this. There are a few things I’ve been meaning to chat with you about for ages.”

Megan stepped closer, her smile polished and polite, but her eyes stayed cold.

Brianna gave a quiet, chilly laugh, her gaze turning cold as she looked up.

“Mrs. Rich,” she said, her voice soft and steady. “If you’re here to rehash that old drama between your daughter and Tristan, then don’t bother.”

Megan ignored Brianna’s displeasure and kept smiling. “We may not be as elite as your family, but we still have basic decency and integrity. I’ve always taught Nancy that she should never touch what doesn’t belong to her

She chuckled softly and continued, “Even though your father passed away early, I’m sure he taught you the principles of conduct. So tell me, what was Tristan doing at your place in the middle of the night? I may not have much influence/but f anyone bullies my daughter, I won’t let it slide, no matter who they are.”

Brianna let out a cold laugh. “People with rotten hearts see filth everywhere they look.”

“If you really taught your daughter so well, then how did she manage to crawl into Tristan’s bed?” Brianna’s smile disappeared, her chin raised, eyes sharp as ice.

“Yeah, my mom passed away early,” she paused. “So early she never got the chance to warn me that some people really do live in their own bubble, thinking the whole universe revolves around them.”

Brianna shot Patsy a look, her eyes full of biting sarcasm.

“Since you already know you’re from a small-time family, you’d better learn to keep your place. The only reason I’ve tolerated you again and again is because of Tristan. Don’t get ahead of yourself and start thinking you’re actually important, Brianna said coldly.
