Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 69

Chapter 69 The Schaun Succeeded

Chapter 69 The Scheme Succeeded

Brandon was about to take a sip of his orange juice.

His phone rang.

He tried to pull out his phone.

But his hand wouldn’t cooperate.

Brandon set his orange juice down on the table

With sluggish movements, he slowly reached for his phone.

Just then, Tristan walked over.

He plopped down next to Brandon.

He was completely wasted.

His cheeks were flushed red.

Tristan, still tipsy, thought it was Brianna at first.

He leaned in, squinting as he tried to get a better look. “Oh, Darcy, huh? Where’s your sister?”

Darcy saw Tristan and felt a pang of guilt.

She got up, guilt gnawing at her, and slipped away.

Brandon answered the call. “Hello?”

His senses felt dull, as if everything was muffled in cotton.

Tristan was really struggling.

He grabbed the glass of orange juice in front of him and downed it in one go.

He set the glass back down.

Then he got up to join the folks at the next table for another round.

Brandon stared at his phone, feeling oddly confused.

He put it back to his ear.

He snapped, clearly annoyed, “I brought your son back. What else do you want from me?”

A few seconds ticked by.

“Who are you talking about? How am I supposed to know where he went?” Brandon snapped. He ended the call without another word.

He picked up his glass, only to find the orange juice was gone.

Brandon stared at the empty glass, baffled.

Darcy watched as Tristan wandered off.

She slipped back over to Brandon.

She noticed Brandon was still holding the glass.

Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.

“Brandon, did you drink it?” Darcy asked.

Brandon frowned, clearly confused.

His mouth was still bone dry.

‘Where did it go?’ he muttered.

He mumbled something, barely audible.

Darcy didn’t catch it.

She figured he’d already drunk it.

Outside in the little garden, Patsy was so drunk she just slumped in her chair and fell asleep.

Brianna let out a helpless sigh.

She called over a waiter to keep an eye on Patsy.

Then she hurried back into the party hall.

She spulled Barey-dabbing at Brandon’s forehead with a napkin.

Brianna’s temper flared instantly.

She strode over to Brandon, ker steps quick and purposeful.

She shot Darcy a sharp, disapproving look.

She turned to Brandon. “Patsy’s drunk. I’m going to take her horne first. Don’t drink any rere, okay? Have the driver take you home early. Did you hear me?”

Brandon slowly lifted his head.

He gazed at Brianna, his eyes a little hazy.

He stayed silent, not saying a word.

Then he reached out and took her hand, pressing it to his lips and kissing her softly.

His hot, damp breath washed over her skin.

It made her shudder involuntarily.

With Darcy watching, Brianna couldn’t pull her hand away.

Brandon spoke slowly, his voice thick and slurred. “Don’t worry, darling. I’m fine. I’ll swing by her place and pick you up later.* Brianna wanted to say no at first.

But seeing Darcy still sitting so close to Brandon really pissed her off.

On purpose, she reached out and gently brushed his forehead.

“Okay,” Brianna said softly.

After that, Brianna said goodbye to Tristan.

Then she rushed out and called for a designated driver, heading out with Patsy.

It was late at night.

The crowd in the party hall was slowly thinning out.

Brandon was so drunk that he could barely walk straight.

Darcy had to practically carry Brandon as they made their way out of the hall.

The driver spotted them and rushed over to help before Brandon could topple over.

Darcy didn’t help Brandon into the car.

Instead, she turned to the driver. “Mr. Levy is really wasted tonight. He’s not going home. Could you take him to a guest room instead?”

The driver shot Darcy a puzzled look.

Then he glanced at Brandon.

Seeing how completely out of it Brandon was, he was at a loss.

He was totally stumped.

The driver and Darcy together escorted Brandon to one of the hotel’s villas.

By the time they settled Brandon onto the bed, he was already fast asleep. He was dead to the world.

Darcy couldn’t wait to hurry the driver off.

She spun around and slipped back into the room.

She locked the door behind her.

The next morning, sunlight streamed into the room.

Outside the villa, birds were chattering away in the trees.

The noise woke Brandon from his sleep.

He slowly opened his eyes, feeling that his head was about to explode.

He reached up and rubbed his temples, but his hard bumped into someone beside him.

He figured it was Brianna, so he didn’t think much of it.

His mind was still hazy.

He was just about to go back to sleep.

But the person beside him shifted.

She leaned in, resting softly against his chest.

Brandon instinctively reached out, wrapping his arm around her waist.

His hand rested on her waist.

But something about the way she felt under his fingers seemed off. Suddenly, he snapped awake.

He was just about to turn his head to see who it was.

But then the woman called out, “Brandon,” in a coy, flirtatious voice.

Brandon felt like he’d just been struck by lightning.

He yanked his hand back and shot up from the bed.

The woman sat up halfway, leaning toward him.

She looked at him in shock.

Brandon saw she was completely naked.

And only then did he realize he was totally naked too.

He scrambled to grab his clothes from the carpet.

He hastily pulled them on, barely caring if they were on right.

His brows were furrowed as he cursed himself inwardly.

“Darcy, why are you here?” Brandon blurted out.

Darcy clutched the blanket tightly to her chest, covering herself as best she could.

She looked heartbroken, her face full of pain.

Tears streamed down her cheeks, making her look so vulnerable.

“Brandon…” Her voice trembled as she spoke.

Brandon quickly pulled his clothes on, regaining his usual composure.

His eyes were dark as ink, impossible to read.

He said, “Darcy, just pretend last night never happened. If you want anything, just ask.”

Darcy saw Brandon getting ready to leave.

Panic shot through her.

She didn’t bother with modesty anymore.

She tossed aside the blanket and jumped out of bed.

She stood bare before Brandon, not a stitch on her.

Her cheeks were wet with tears.

She looked heartbreakingly vulnerable, her voice trembling. “Brandon, last night was my first time,” she whispered.

Her cheeks burned with shame as she looked away.

She covered her mouth, stifling her sobs.

Brandon frowned, his expression cold.

He radiated an intimidating aura.

He adjusted his sleeves, his face still icy.

Her fair, smooth, and shapely body was right in front of him.
