Chapter 92
Chapter 92
Nancy left, looking all pitiful.
The waiter, who had just brought the food, looked at Brianna with obvious curiosity.
Brianna didn’t care at all.
She just kept eating, ignoring the waiter.
Without some strength, she could not possibly deal with all this mess.
After a satisfying meal, Brianna grabbed her notebook and leisurely made her way back to the office, taking her sweet time.
Just as she was about to settle in for a little afternoon nap, her phone rang.
It was Brandon.
“Yeah?” Brianna answered, clearly annoyed.
“Let’s go pick up the car this afternoon. I’ll swing by and get you,” Brandon said.
“Not today,” Brianna replied.
She still had a lot on her plate at work.
Plus, she realized her willpower was starting to waver, so she decided it was safer to keep her distance from Brandon.
“Today. After we pick up the car, we’ll head to the Meyers place,” Brandon said.
Brandon was still as brief as ever.
When Brandon brought up the Meyers family, Brianna’s curiosity was instantly piqued.
She was eager to find out if they’d really moved out after Brandon gave them just 24 hours to pack up and leave.
“Alright. I’ll finish up here, then you can come get me,” Brianna agreed.
After hanging up, she flopped onto the couch, planning to rest for a bit.
She’d barely settled in when her phone rang again.
Brianna snatched up the phone, irritation bubbling up inside her. She was seconds away from snapping at whoever it was.
But when she saw who it was, she forced herself to swallow her anger.
“Clair,” she said.
“Brianna, I’m back. Let’s grab lunch this afternoon. I’ve got some updates on the couture line to share with you,” Clair said.
Clair had been on a business trip to Hong Kong for the past few days and had just returned today.
He went there for company business, but also took the chance to help Brianna connect with people in the couture line.
“I’ve got something going on this afternoon,” Brianna said, her voice hesitant and apologetic. “How about I come see you
tomorrow?
“The place is all cleaned up now. I’ll take you over in the afternoon, and we can figure out what else you need. Once

everything’s ready, you can move in this weekend.”
Clair had already heard that the place was close to Brianna, and honestly, he was eager to be nearby.
Besides, being overly polite would actually be rude.
So he didn’t bother being too formal.
“Alright, I’ll get in touch with you tomorrow,” Clair said.
蛋
After hanging up, Brianna got up, stretched, made herself a cup of coffee, then settled back at her desk to work.
She looked up when the office door opened.
When she saw who it was, she instinctively frowned.
“Still working?” Brandon walked in like he belonged there, as if he’d been here a hundred times before.
“Why didn’t you knock?” Brianna shot back.
“Let’s go. It’s four,” Brandon said, glancing at his watch.
Brianna felt like talking to him was just draining her soul.
She rolled her eyes inwardly.
Ignoring him, she started tidying up her desk.
She picked up her cup and walked out of the office to wash it.
When she came back, she saw Brandon sitting in her chair, flipping through her design notebook.
‘Seriously, does this guy have no sense of boundaries at all?‘ Brianna thought.
She marched over to her desk, snatched the notebook away, and hugged it protectively to her chest.
She shot Brandon a glare, clearly annoyed. “Why are you going through my stuff?”
Brandon sat in her chair, looked up at Brianna, his eyes full of genuine admiration.
“I mean, I don’t really get jewelry, but your designs are pretty genius,” he said.
Brianna rolled her eyes.
“So, are we going or what?” she said.
With that, she spun around and walked straight on the door.
‘Did he just compliment me?‘ Brianna wondered.
Brianna couldn’t help but shudder.
Honestly, I’d rather he stick to that icy expression. Mr. Levy giving compliments totally freaks me out!‘ she thought.
Brandon got up slowly and followed her out of the office.
Brianna was already at the elevator when she noticed Brandon had left the office door wide open.
She snapped, “Close the door.”

Brandon blinked, genuinely puzzled. “Huh?”
“Close the office door,” Brianna said, like she was lecturing a child.
‘Idiot, Brianna grumbled inwardly.
She couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
“Oh.” Brandon turned around and pulled the door shut.
Back at Levy Group, closing doors was never part of his job.
He didn’t react at all to Brianna’s impatience.
They made their way to the luxury car dealership, and the service was all about making you feel like a VIP.
Flowers, balloons, the works–they’d really decked the place out.
Out of nowhere, Brandon actually spoke up to Brianna.
“Stand over there. I’ll take a picture of you,” he said.
Brianna looked at him like she’d just seen a ghost.
“Mrs. Levy, you’re so lucky. The boss is so attentive to you,” the saleswoman said, laying it on thick.
Brianna quickly waved her hands. “No, really, that’s not necessary. Let’s just get going. I’ve got stuff to do.”
She just couldn’t pull off pretending to be a sweet couple.
After grabbing the keys, Brianna got behind the wheel and drove Brandon toward the Meyers family’s place.
They hadn’t arrived yet.
Brianna’s phone rang.
It was Vickie calling.
At that moment, the two of them were driving along the ring road, circling the city.
She was driving, so she had no choice but to hand the phone to Brandon.
“Hey, Vickie, Brianna’s driving right now. What’s up?” Brandon said.
He was actually being pretty nice.
Whatever Vickie said, Brandon’s face grew darker and his frown deepened.
“Alright, I got it,” Brandon said, then hung up.
Brianna quickly asked, “What happened?”
She was worried something had happened to her grandma.
