Chapter 95
When Patsy heard that Tristan was coming over, she couldn’t help but get a little nosy.
She made her way to Brianna’s office as well.
Adjusting her glasses, she teased Tristan, “I heard you’re dating someone?”
Patsy dragged out her words, clearly teasing.
“No. don’t be ridiculous,” Tristan replied, his face showing a bit of awkwardness.
“Come on, why are you being so secretive?” Brianna pressed, still puzzled.
‘Is he just playing around?‘ she wondered.
She thought of Nancy’s innocent face.

Then she frowned and said, “Tristan, that girl seems really nice. She’s still pretty young. You better not take advantage of her.”
Before Tristan could respond, Patsy jumped in.
“Got any photos? Let me see!” Patsy pressed, clearly eager to snoop.
Tristan looked a little frustrated.
“I already told you she’s not my girlfriend. Why do you guys keep bugging me about it?” he complained.
“Not your girlfriend? Then how did she get her hands on your diary?” Brianna retorted.
“Wait, what diary?” Patsy asked, her eyes lighting up with gossip.
“His girlfriend accidentally left his diary with me,” Brianna explained casually.
“So, you didn’t take a peek?” Patsy asked, shooting Brianna a mischievous smile.
She flashed Brianna a playful, unreadable grin.
“Why would I bother reading his diary?” Brianna replied nonchalantly.
Tristan blushed furiously, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed.
“What’s there to be embarrassed about? You’re pushing thirty. Dating is totally normal at your age,” Brianna reassured him.
Hearing that, Patsy laughed so hard she nearly doubled over.
She gave Tristan a friendly pat on the shoulder.
“Come on, just focus on your relationship,” she said with a grin.
Brianna shot them a puzzled look, not getting what they meant.
Tristan impatiently swatted Patsy’s hand away.
“Yeah, right! As if!” he snapped.
With that, he got up, clearly annoyed. “I’m outta here.”.

Chapter 95
“What’s wrong with him?” Brianna asked, still puzzled.
Tristan didn’t say a word. He just walked straight out.
Patsy couldn’t help but crack up at Tristan’s flustered exit, laughing until tears streamed down her face.
Brianna gave Patsy a puzzled look.
“What’s so funny?” she asked.
“Oh, nothing, nothing. It’s just rare to see him so worked up,” Patsy replied, wiping away tears as she tried to brush it off
Patsy waved it off, still laughing and dabbing at her eyes.

After Brianna had lunch with Patsy, she remembered she was supposed to go house–hunting with Clair today.
She drove over to the hotel where Clair was staying.
Clair was in Klamdiff to oversee the launch of a new company.
The work was still ongoing.
For now, they were using a hotel conference room as their temporary office.
As soon as Clair called Brianna, she headed straight for the hotel conference room.
She spotted Clair at his laptop, silver–rimmed glasses on and a light gray shirt, totally focused on his work.
Brianna’s lips curled into a subtle smile.
There were a few other people in the conference room.
They were Clair’s colleagues.
Before arriving, Brianna had picked up some coffee for Clair’s team.”
As she walked in, she passed out the coffees with a friendly smile.
Clair stood up, smiling warmly at her.
Brianna handed him a coffee.
He took it, a smile in his eyes.
“Still as kind as you were back in school,” Clair said.
Brianna felt a bit shy at the compliment.
She ducked her head, absentmindedly twirling a strand of hair with her finger.
“I’m not that nice,” Brianna said, a little flustered. “Are you done with work? If you are, let’s go look at the houses.”
Clair closed his laptop.
“Let’s go!” he said.
Brianna paused. a bit anxious that she might be getting in the way of his work. ‘Hope I’m not bothering him, she thought.

“If you’re still busy, I can just hang out here and wait. Seriously, take your time,” Brianna said, trying to sound relaxed.
She was fine with waiting, but Clair wasn’t having it. He wanted to get going right away.
“Seriously. I’m done. Let’s go,” he said, already heading for the door.
Only then did Brianna follow him out.
When they got to the parking lot, Clair noticed Brianna’s new car.
“You changed cars?” he asked.
“Yeah. Brandon said my old car wasn’t really suitable for starting a business, so I switched,” Brianna said if offhandedly.
Clair’s eyes flickered with hurt, but he quickly composed himself.
His tone had a barely–there bitterness.
“Mr. Levy really dotes on his wife,” he said with forced casualness.
Brianna gave a wry smile but didn’t respond.
After a pause, Clair started talking about his recent trip to Port City.
“I found a jewelry supplier. He’s got a great selection. Here’s his card,” Clair said, showing her the business card.
He set the business card on the center console.
As Brianna was planning to launch a luxury couture line, getting a top–notch gemstone supplier was absolutely essential for that.
“When I’m free, I want to visit Port City and take a look,” Brianna said.
“Sure, just let me know when you want to go and I’ll come with you,” Clair said, not missing a beat.
After graduating, Clair landed a job at a big international jewelry company, and over the years, he’d built up a pretty impressive network.
He knew all the right people–suppliers, clients, you name it—which was a huge plus for Brianna’s new business.
With those connections, he could actually give Brianna some real support.
And honestly, he was just glad he could be useful for once.
“I feel bad making you do all this, Clair,” Brianna said, a little self–conscious.
“Come on, don’t be so formal. I’m about to move into your place. It’s me who should be thanking you!” Clair joked.
“Seriously, it’s really nothing,” Brianna replied, waving it off.
Chatting all the way, the two of them headed over to the villa together.
This villa was purchased right after he returned to the country.
Once it was renovated, Gabrielle wouldn’t let him live here alone because of Brianna’s situation.
So for a while, this place was his refuge during those early days.
He didn’t spend much time here, though.

Chapter 95
As Brianna and Clair pulled up to the villa, Brianna took out her keys and unlocked the door.
She handed the keys to Clair.
“Here, once you move in, just go ahead and change the passcode,” she said.
Clair took in the house’s luxurious decor.
Priceless paintings hung on the walls, and expensive designer furnishings were throughout.
He almost wanted to refuse. It all felt a bit too extravagant for him.
But then he reconsidered it.
‘If I turn it down, Brianna might think I’m not used to this kind of luxury,‘ Clair thought to himself.
“The decor is really tasteful,” Clair remarked, trying to keep it casual.
“Yeah, this was his bachelor pad,” Brianna replied, her tone light.
“I bought new bedding and household items. Take a look and see if there’s anything else you need,” she added.
She walked Clair through the house.
The villa had five levels in total–three stories above ground and two underground floors.
It was fully equipped: there was a study, a gym, and even a home theater.
“I’ve already arranged for a housekeeper to help out. Once you move in, she’ll come over,” Brianna said, making sure everything was taken care of.
As they passed the wine cellar, Clair took in all those rare bottles stored inside.
He joked, “If I start drinking Brandon’s good wine, he won’t get mad, right?”
“No way, he’s got so much wine he’ll never run out,” Brianna replied, totally unconcerned.
As Clair listened to her talk about Brandon with such familiarity, he felt a little sour inside. She really knew him so well, and it stung more than he’d like to admit.
“I’m staying here most of the time now, too. If you move in, we can look out for each other,” Brianna said.
Clair’s eyes lit up with delight.
“Alright, I’ll go pack up and move in in the next couple of days,” he said with a smile.
After they finished touring the house, Brianna and Clair headed out,
Brianna then took Clair to the mall to buy some household items.
They spent the afternoon shopping, had dinner together, and afterward Brianna drove Clair back to his hotel.
“Later, I’ll have someone drop my car off for you. It makes it easier for you to get around,” Brianna said.
Clair felt pampered by her care and couldn’t help but enjoy the attention.
Of course, he wasn’t about to say no.
“Alright!” he said with a smile.
